in what way has the republican party defended men? or, put this way, defended anything other than their own power + corporate interests / profits? pretty sure supporting labor unions is more "pro-men" than anything the republicans have done. I think western feminism is nonsense and I think the dems should have had a convention to choose a new nominee. I would not have chosen Kamala for any reason other than logistical and also for the benefits of expediency. But this is where we are and again, I…

This is overly simplistic and ignores almost all modern psychology. Look up Attachment Theory and learn about Anxious and Avoidant attachment styles. Dynamics such as the one you are describing are never the basis for a healthy long term partnership, even if they can be exciting and do last sometimes.

(Disclaimer: I'm male) I just posted a link earlier to an Illimitable Man article, but I thought about it and wanted to elaborate more as I have personal experience. My girlfriend is 8.5 years younger than I am. I'm 32, she's 24. Apart from loving her for who she is and how well we get along, there are several reasons why I am very happy to be dating a younger woman (without having specifically sought out a younger woman) despite any flack I might get socially. That doesn't faze me at all. I don…

100%. Binding yourself to a random group and planning a complicated trip around that premise? Totally foolish. Better off alone.

That is exactly his point. You want to grow as a person? Do something that makes you uncomfortable. Go on a trip, alone. Lead yourself instead of being led by others. Take initiative. Meet people and make your own path. Interact with foreigners instead of insulating yourself with a group of men of your own nationality. It doesn't matter if this isn't "in your personality". It should be something every man can do / has done. Good luck.

Thanks for this article. To me it reads as an affirmation of all the habits I already practice and also the feelings I have when I am not being productive or else my time is being wasted. I am keenly aware of my finite time on this earth and the almost fanatical dedication to hard work it takes to achieve anything of worth at all. This article is a great reminder of why I am this way and why I can expect continued success so long as I embrace these attitudes.

The movie does not do the book any justice.

I'm just gonna be old school and say that I think yoga is for girls. Sure, I'll stretch, as a precursor to climbing a mountain, trekking 7 miles through the desert, biking 50 miles, surfing with friends at sunrise, etc. I'm sure yoga is as effective as they say but.. fuck owning a yoga mat, fuck being a part of that crowd.

You're the man if only for including that people should be reading classic literature.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
