And to you, society making women feel guilt is "just asking for" men to have their lives ruined. You're reading things that aren't there.

For one, there isn't a link between dress choice and rape. There is a direct link between slut-shaming and deterring guilt. Two, both men and women slut shame. Therefore it's not blaming the majority male victims of false accusations. Blaming dress choice is directly blaming the victim. No one would ever say that you were asking for a false accusation if you called a woman a slut. People do say that women are "asking for it" by dressing certain ways.

I'm saying that in our culture there is shame for having sexual desire if you're a woman. Not "this guy called me a whore so I'm going to accuse him of rape." It's bigger than that. fishwish said it best: The more we can put an end to this shame factor on women who are doing just the same stuff we want to do, the less likely future generations will feel obliged to blame their sexual desires & actions on someone else.

We internalize the message we get from society. It's not just men shaming women. I posted it here because our goals seemed to collide.

If there's a culture of shame around women's sexuality, they will be more likely to falsely accuse. It's not saying "if a man calls a woman a slut, then that man will be falsely accused of rape."

He should get a lawyer to be safe. It's a legal obligation he's getting into. He should be informed of all the rights/obligations he's going to have or not have. He doesn't have to love her. Just being polite/courteous is enough. It's terrible for a child to know that his parents can't stand eachother. And then they're stuck in the middle. And it isn't "his" kid. It's their kid. It's about the child now. They need to grow up and be adults for their child.

It's sad that men who want to stay at home are pressured not to or called "mr. moms". If both parents are working, one of them is going to need to cut back hours. Depends on the couple, but should not by default be the woman.

Yeah, and all those non-white people are clearly inferior too because of evolution and stuff. They're creationist if they don't agree with me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
