People like that fascinate me to no end. Like serial killers. I want to study them but i also want them in a cage. Have they lost all logic? Can they not see that rules have to apply both ways?

There is an over-protection and baby-fication of children and young adults in many if not all aspects of life (until one of them shoots somebody and then suddenly we try them as adults) The term "Young Adults" needs to be reestablished into the public consciousness and brought back to the surface. I could give dozens of examples but for now I'll stick to two. I see people on anime message boards getting angry that a character (age 16) is involved in a comedy scene where she lands on a boy her ag…

"but but but....i'm bringing you personality! And comfort! And (conditional) love! Affection!" "the struggling guy could give all that to you. I can give you an entire lifestyle. You can only bring yourself..."

You know I was genuinely confused as to why this one got downvoted. I figured people would want to know something that I learned first hand. Something that frustrates me and gave me a huge wake up call. Like being told I wasn’t allowed to help this small young woman who’s possibly autistic brother three times her size was freaking out and on the verge of violence and my boss (a literal former drill sergeant) told me he would fire me on the spot if I didn’t walk away and stop trying to help her. …

One of my favorite things in moments like this is when the people who were seemingly enjoying it before suddenly become horrified. The "oh my gawwwd...." with that whimpering tone, followed by the immediate ceasing of filming. haha. like it's not too funny anymore is it? This chick is getting changed right in front of you. A clear before and after moment in her life and it's not making you feel the way you were expecting to feel.

As someone who worked as a security guard in a mall, I can tell you we were 100% not allowed to touch anyone under any circumstances. Even if they robbed a store right in front of us we were not allowed to grab them. We were not even allowed to say “stop” because that legally could be considered false imprisonment (I’m not kidding. They made us go over this extensively) Do not mistake what you think is right for what is legal.

Legally? I think you SHOULD be allowed to remove them (and break their jaw in the process if you want) but legally I’m not sure When people have gone to jail because a burglar injured themselves while breaking into their house.......I don’t have much faith in the law to be reasonable

Are you sure? With today’s laws I’m not sure you are legally allowed to remove someone with physical force Not unless they’re threatening bodily harm on you. Pretty sure the law says you have to call the police. Which is horse shit but I’m just saying. We live in a world where people have been put in jail because a burglar who broke into their house injured himself in the process of their crime.

Why does it stop at 58? Is there some senior citizen protection thing?

If she honestly didn’t know it’s not a crime. Intent matters.
