I don't know much about this whole subject area, but the polygon article about this incident claims that sargon was yelling at the panelist and demanding he have the chance to debate with them.

The 85% is a disingenuous number. There were only 7 female recruits doing the new test, 6 of which failed out. The low % of male dropouts was a much larger actual number.

what? THats the same as saying everyone in Germany was a nazi. Not all feminists are bad.

No thats a misinterpretation of my metaphor from the other end. The point is that Germany as a country is not completely bad, not everyone was a Nazi. Just like Feminism as a whole is not completely bad, not everyone is a misandrist who hates men.

I didn't make an analogy, its a metaphor in which feminism is Germany, and Nazis are the militant feminists, I am not comparing feminists to nazis, or to germany. edit: sorry I tried to reply to your other comment but apparently im typing too fast for Reddit, so I will add it here I am aware of the Good German argument, and sure it may apply in some contexts, however it is still a grossly overboard and demeaning statement to claim that the action of a few feminists (or many) somehow poisons the …

Germany is the country, Feminism is the parallel. The militant group in this article is the Nazi party, other groups of less insane feminists are the rest of Feminism. Its a metaphor, not a trite piece directly comparing Nazis to militant feminists.

I didn't say women, I was talking about the feminism movement, just like /u/johnsmith66 did. I didn't use the straw man argument here either. Straw Man means I misrepresented his position, but all he said was that Feminism is a radical violent anti-male misandric movement, he didn't distinguish this group from other non militant groups, he didn't differentiate between these people and those who are sex and gender positive feminists who want equal rights for everyone. He lumped them all into one …

Oh come on, that is like saying all Germans are Nazis because they all live in the same country. If you make broad sweeping generalizations about feminism you are no better than these groups. edit: I have further explained my position below, since I seem to be getting a lot of negative feedback that doesn't really address the crux of my issue with /u/johnsmith66's statement Edit 2: Okay, lets be clear here, I am not defending the people in this article. I am defending no one, in fact, other than…

in 7 states in the US the death penalty is on the books as a punishment for heinous sexual assault against those under the age of 13.

Oh no I agree, there is a sufficiency of such eyecandy on campus as well. I just happen to enjoy going to clubs with friends, but since I do not do the whole club dancing bit, I hang out and talk to people while admiring all the people who are dancing and showing off.

As a college aged male, the only reasons I go to places like that is to spend times with friends and enjoy the eyecandy.

its still a close to 10% decrease in the past 40 years, and thats a huge number when you consider how large the population grew during that time period. The fact that women rates stayed the same is indeed a big gain, because again, thats a larger total number, even though its not a larger percentage.

Bravo, expected this to be a story about getting your ass handed to you by a bunch of girls who actually knew how to play. 8/10 would read again.
