Alright, as a female who has gotten oodles of DM's, here are my two cents... The zodiac opener is both creative AND generic. Creative - At least you are not just saying "Hi, I would like to get to know you." (kill me now, lol) You are opening with something that most girls have not seen before, so if nothing else you will catch their attention for this reason. Generic - This opener would immediately raise red flags for me. 1. I'm not a cancer! 2. why did this person jump to this conclusion? 3. t…

It is very likely you are feeling lonely during quarantine. Because we are all in such an usual place right now, I would highly suggest you don't make any major changes right now. It might be good to see how you feel once life is a little more normal again. If you still want to talk to her, then you can reach out.

Word. You are obviously a very sophisticated person, so the book would seem intuitive to you. However, I would venture to say that many of the tips in the book are not inherent to most people. ❤ What is a better suggestion?

When it comes to knowing when to "make the move," it is simply going to take time and practice. I would air on the side of caution when making a move. However, just keep going on dates and see what happens. Dating will get easier with time. It is very likely that you are going to be an awkward mess for the first 20 times. I would recommend, you just let yourself be awkward for a while and remember that you are learning. Do not assume that your first couple of dates are going to be home-runs.

I disagree slightly. I think the following is the best stance to have: Know that you are a catch know that she is a catch I think we run into problems when we start seeing dating as: I am not worthy, or she is lucky. Instead, the most confident stance you can come from is being solid and loving within yourself, then also treating whoever your object of desire is with kindness. There is no better than or less than. I get worried when people say that "nice guys come last." As a woman who is modera…

When a person decides that they are going to change their lives in a big and meaningful way (your talk of self-love), those changes are sometimes not received well by others. If people were used to you being one way, but now you are acting differently (doing your own thing, instead of doing what your friends want), it makes sense that your friends are getting upset. You are switching things around. However, sometimes we need to stick up for ourselves and cut others off if you really need to make…

Amen. Ladies can sniff out when guys are too preoccupied with "picking up chicks." You never want getting laid/a relationship to be the focus of your entire life. It will eventually make you unhappy and it will make women less interested. Make yourself better first, women second. Thanks for this!

Tip: never tell a girl what to do via text. You said, "talk" multiple times which feels very pushy, she does not "owe" you a response. (This is something guys do to girls frequently and it is a surefire way to make them ignore you.) Also, she is most likely being short because she does not want to talk to you.

Hmmm... IMO, it seems like your friend is over-exaggerating. Kissing one time at a club does not claim somebody. If they were in a relationship this would make more sense, but it seems like calling "dibs" this early in the game is unfair for you and the girl. The girl obviously likes you (at least as a friend) to be talking to you every night for 3 hours.

Yas!!! How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. It is not directly a dating book. However, his principles can be applied to dating. It is all about how you can turn your attention to others and authentically win them over, mostly by being a thoughtful, good person. If you can make people like you, you can certainly win them over in other facets of life.

Hi, Tagnuts420, I am a girl and this is my two cents. When guys have done that to me in the past I find it fairly insulting. I always knew that they were trying to ask me out and now they are getting defensive because I turned them down. The absolute sexiest thing a guy can do is to genuinely express interest and then politely say "okay" if I decline. Vulnerability equals sex appeal. It is both vulnerable and confident when a puts themselves out there by asking me out. Additionally, don't forget…
