I was in a similar situation before my divorce. I had a promising career in a developing country, got a job in Europe then quickly married my girlfriend and moved with her to a new country. Biggest mistake I ever made. I also thought her behavior changed all of a sudden but then I realized she basically was trying to kick me out after getting naturalized. Didn't matter to her that we had kids, and I did anything to make her happy. You mentioned 5 years.. Has your wife's residency or citizenship …

2 years and still in progress because kids. I underestimated how much effort it would take to be a part of my kids lives
