The type of abuse women dish out is more mental than physical and much more difficult to prove. I had a good friend growing up who was horribly abused by his mother. I witnessed it daily, but it was the kind of behaviour that could not be explained well. Some would just call it a strict parenting style, but in my eyes it was abusive.
