Michigan 50/50 here. My lawyer was an hour late to our custody hearing, she had a laundry list of crap to say about me. Unfounded. Judge listened to it all and promptly gave me 50/50. He didn’t even hesitate. Most nerve racking thing I’ve ever experienced.

Do what I did. Be stupid and let her find your lawyers business card, she connected the dots from there 😂

She refuses to go to counseling. I go on my own for my benefit. She tried it once with her abusive ex. She says it didn’t work for them so it won’t work for us. Has never shown any interest in even asking how my counseling was going until I told her I wanted a divorce. She still says she won’t go

I know there was a massive weight off my shoulders when I finally said out loud to someone the first time that I was getting a divorce. I have never felt better, been sleeping well, losing weight and just all around felt amazing. Last two days I’m exhausted, overeating, and stressed. I know my heart is done with it but after so long it’s just so hard to let go.

Absolutely this, and if she won’t go, go on your own. Reading your story I felt like I was reading my own(meeting lawyer this week). I tried for a long time to get her to go and she always refused saying things were fine. I finally went on my own and it was the most incredible experience ever. It gave me the confirmation of what I already knew, that it was Over and time to call the lawyer! The weight that is lifted from your shoulders when you are finally able to say these feelings out loud to s…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
