I am very satisfied. I've been married for almost 33 years to the same woman. We have 4-children who are doing great. As to regrets focusing so much on work...no regrets. I spent a LOT of time with my wife and kids. I just spent my time with them differently than traditional families (i.e. being at 5:00 pm, eating dinner with the family, tucking the kids in, etc.) I worked...a LOT...but I took a lot time off and my wife and kids got to travel the world with me and have a lot of adventures. I tuc…

Back in around 1985 (yeah, I'm old), I read a book, I believe it was Tom Hopkins 'How to Master the Art of Selling'. In that book, Hopkins said, "remove all things and all people from your life that do not add value". That really hit me hard. I had a group of friends that were on a slow rise to mediocrity. They all wanted to have whole "home with a white picket fence" and a steady job, blah, blah, blah. Now, there's nothing wrong with that. That's what most people want. But I wanted more. What I…

There's a simple lesson here for all men and that I've taught my sons: DSYDIC* Following that rule is one of the foundational tenets of having a good life. *Don't Stick Your Dick In Crazy

There's no feeling bad for both of them. Feel bad for the dude. The whole thing is cleared up by the so-called "victim" simply saying, "no, he didn't rape me. It was 100% consensual". But she didn't. She's the one who's guilty here and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law...which, in these cases is pretty much nothing.

Unfortunately, this kind of thing happens regularly in our legal system. People need to realize that our legal system is corrupt and judges like this woman (assuming everything guy in the video said was correct) are far more common than you'd think. I've been through a lawsuit recently and can say with 100% certainty that most judges are completely worthless. They rule with impunity and without any real accountability (they have UNQUALIFIED IMMUNITY). Even if you get a good judge, the legal syst…

I agree that can be the case. But it also clearly shows that the current regulatory system does not work. Therefore, rather than continuing to rely on the current system to protect the environment, we should do something different.

Thank you for the clarification! Who do they pay those carbon credits too? The government, of course. The government is supposed to regulate those bums and stop the pollution.....but thanks to crony capitalism, the dishonest businesses can now pay protection money to the government to the detriment of us all.

I'm not sure how to answer that question as I can't speak for libertarians since they have a wide array of beliefs (and I'm not a purist libertarian). But, speaking only for myself.....the answer is no. Although I am no fan of what unions have become today (quasi-governmental organizations), and I'm not a fan of most of the media (FOX and talk radio has become the lap dogs of the republicans and the rest of the media has long since been the same for the democrats) and consumer advocates seem to …

We have a conundrum here, don't we! I think you and I are in agreement on about 90 - 95% of the points....but the devil lies in the details. As a businessman, I know what happens to little guys at the hands of regulators and it is stifling. That's the area I can speak about from first hand experience. A few specific points: yes but if company A is more profitable then how they treat their workers won't matter, especially when company A drives company B out. This likely won't happen if Company A …

Good response! Here are my thoughts. I think Henry Ford showed that the best place for money to flow is in the market in the hands of consumers. But the prerequisite of that was what he created. The money doesn't flow without the creation and the creation doesn't occur without the investment........ that is what raises all boats, and not just the top tier making the immediate profit, ......and the investment doesn't occur without the profit (the sooner the better). that's my problem with flat ou…

As countries advance (industrially, economically, socially, educationally), you will see wages rise. (BTW, the next few paragraphs are not meant to be an attack on unions.....I'd like to keep the conversation focused on one issue at a time ;-) Eventually, unions step in and demand more money for their members. The problem becomes that when they demand an employment package that costs $50/hour (that is a random number) and someone else is willing to do a reasonable facsimile of that job for $12/h…

Thank you taking the time to give a thorough response. If I may, I respectfully disagree........ The problem with what you've said is that the cost of doing business in those countries is prohibitive. Further, the only viable way to get a country to advance thru the necessary stages of economic development is for 1st world countries to invest in those countries by building and/or patronizing the factories in those countries. I get what you're saying, but it's just not economically feasible witho…

Every country goes thru a cycle of development wherein they slowly but surly make progress. Some countries are ahead of others in that regard. Pollution is one metric that separates 1st, 2nd and 3rd world countries from each other. Further, innovators always eventually outsource their lower level jobs to second and third world countries. This is nothing new. It is the way his happen throughout history. Those polluting countries will eventually catch up with where of United States is today. Howev…

Actually, it was the "greatest generation" (WWll generation) and previous generations of the industrial revolution that caused so much pollution. The baby boomers have done a really good job of cleaning up the environment.

Keep in mind, the US based trust that what I am suggesting was NOT set up by the beta. It was set up by his parents. His parents can do WHATEVER they want with THEIR money. Once they do it, and make it irrevocable, it is done. If the beta sets up a US based trust, then that's a different story. You can protect your children from gold diggers by setting up the correct US based trust. You can help protect yourself by setting up the correct offshore trust (but that's a bit more complicated.....I co…

It is a little more tricky to set up a trust for yourself to protect your assets, but it can be done. It almost certainly has to be an offshore trust. I am in the process of taking my business (even though it is a US based company. It cost around $5k - $10k to set everything up and then around a few thousand/year after that to maintain (so you need to have "enough" assets to make it worth the expense). I will end up being an employee of my company with most of the income from the company shipped…

So far it has not been overturned. It has been tried and tested multiple times. IANAL, but I believe this is settled case law. Keep in mind that this has nothing to do with Beta. This would be his parents doing.

That's the way it could work. You need to look into setting up off shore trusts and other such documentation that can help protect against this kind of thing.

The parents can fix the problem of the gold digger if their beta son is stupid enough to marry the GD. They just need to set up a trust that becomes irrevocable upon their death and place all their assets in the trust. When they die, the trust owns 100% of the assets and the Beta son OWNS NOTHING. However, he can control the trust (own nothing, control everything). The beta son can use the trust to buy cars, house, real estate....really anything he wants the trust to buy. It's just that he does …

I'm not 100% certain the of the book, but if memory serves me correctly (and it often doesn't....this was back in about 1986 or so)......I believe the book was "How to Master the Art of Selling" by Tom Hopkins. I read a book back in mid 1980's that contained (roughly) the following passage: Remove all things and all people from your life that do not add value. At the time, I was hanging around a bunch of friends that weren't on the same "life trajectory" that I was. I simply made myself less available to them and over time, or relationship basically faded off into the sunset. We will still see each other from time to time in passing or at gatherings. Rocky was actually great for the entire country. Think about it......it was the mid-1970's..... The economy was in the crapper. Men had a great deal of difficulty finding work (which can tear up a man's psyche), inflation was through the roof. We saw the meteoric rise of feminism, the ERA (the amendment), NOW, and other such organizations. In addition, many men were demoralized because of their experience with Vietnam. That shock at the end, is what should get the attention of every beta bux out there. This is what your life is going to be. Now pay attention to TRP and learn I only wish I had discovered TRP 30 (heck 40) years ago. I am an alpha in almost every aspect of my life except relationships. I've started applying TRP concepts to my marriage a few weeks ago. The changes have been profound and (surprisingly) very quick.

There is a risk in being alive. But that doesn't mean that one has to take unnecessary risks. The reward better outweigh the risk. If not, don't take it. I've dealt with crazy and have had friends that have dealt with mega-crazy. It ain't worth it.

Why even take the chance? If you're a true alpha, you should have no problem finding women. Do yourself a favor and weed out the obvious crazies. You'll have enough trouble with the ones that you didn't know were crazy till it was too late.

I've told my children (both boys and girls) that the minute you even sense the slightest bit of crazy....RUN....don't walk. RUN!!!! That's because TRP truths are not PC. You can use code words that don't offend the sensibilities of those that don't want to face facts, but if you use the wrong words to describe those facts, then you are a bad guy.

The man has little (really no) say in the matter. She can do what she wants. If she chooses to take the baby to term and it is his child, then he should be financially responsible for his child and (more importantly) be the best father he can be to his child. The child is innocent in this situation. I believe one of the lessons we learn in TRP, is to take personal responsibility for our actions. If you don't want a child then you're a fool for going bare back and not being snipped (good gosh, ma…

We are probably just arguing semantics I agree. extending overt respect and treating with outright disrespect. The default cannot be either respect or disrespect until you have further information about the person. I may be using the words "courtesy" and "respect" interchangeably. Also, I have a problem with your post's emphasis on outcomes rather than specific behaviors: Good point. I will work on coming up with specific behaviors. Many TRP behaviors apply to older married me, but I think there are different behaviors that apply to a husband and a father (once there are children on the scene). Based on your metrics, I am from a different era (I'm 50). I remember when men were men and women were women and each was valued as such. I was also there to watch the us go thru "the change".....literally go thru "MENopause" as a society. That's why I'm glad I found TRP. I'm just looking at it from my perspective and how we men of maturity who are already in family situations (and work hard to fulfill those responsibilities) can apply TRP principles to our lives.

Very well said. As a man whose been married almost 23 years, I can attest to the fact that it's hard to be all those things I've listed to be a "good man". But hanging out here and RP, I've been able to take a new look at my relationship and see things that I need to change.....most of them having to do with me.
