I hope you choose your happiness and future over a guy who talks explicitly about other women in an objectifying and racist manner! Don’t have kids with a guy who won’t be able to get it up with in within the next few years! He clearly can’t support you financially, spiritually, ethically, intimately or with dignity.

I would be okay being a forever girlfriend but only because I’ve been married and getting divorced and it’s nothing I’d ever want to go through again. I’d also be happy being in a relationship with someone and not living with them. I own my own house, I don’t want to move anyone in but if they were to get a trailer and throw it on my property I’d be fine with that, or just completely separate living.

I think we need to remember that even men we think we know, we don’t know. She saw him running at her and kept her pace because he wasn’t a stranger. If I saw a stranger running at me; I’m running; if I see my boyfriend running at me, we’ll, then I probably wouldn’t run (well I would now, knowing what I know and experiencing an abusive marriage, but in the past I’d assume he’s just up for round two of an argument). There’s not much she could have done at all. There are some safety devices you ca…

It doesn’t change the fact that asking for consent first should be the norm. As someone in the minority who can and will advocate for myself I know exactly what happens to women who aren’t that secure to do so, and so do you. Don’t ask for reasonable solutions you’re going to brick wall either. How hard is it to simply ask someone in advance if they’re comfortable receiving specific interactions?

I absolutely take the lead because it protects me. I also don’t read or watch porn so I don’t get my education from bullshit. It’s also not about getting laid, it’s about getting consent. If you’re getting laid because you’re intimidating then that’s just rape.

No. Men start learning about the world women navigate and act accordingly, such as simply stating “I really like you and if your comfortable would like to kiss you.” Even yesterday when I went to visit with my fwb, he was very hopeful for certain things that I wasn’t going to accommodate, he asked, dick in his hand “can we do this?” I said not today. We continued on with other things. It’s that simple.

Consider the world women have to navigate and you might understand why verbal consent is best practice for everyone and just get comfortable asking.

I’ve been asked often by men I’m on dates with if they can kiss me before they do it, always nice, and someone who has been date raped it is ALWAYS appreciated. If a man doesn’t let me lead (where I ask) or just goes for it I don’t see them again.

One year I made seven (7!) sexual assault reports and got zero follow up from authorities except once I was sent a sexual victim’s pamphlet about accessing counseling.

Hey! It’s my woke, libfem, vegan, animal/human rights, punk, anarchist ex boyfriend who had PIED!

As a single mother, it’s still easier without him, but it’s soul crushing to have to raise kids who just wanted a happy family unit and it’s never going to happen for them with their fathers and mothers together. Never have kids without an incredible amount of consideration about your and your kids long term future. My kids had their parents together for 12 years. A lot can change over 12 years when you get with a shady, lazy, entitled man. My ex presented very well for many many years in a lot …

Broke up with my porn addicted boyfriend last weekend after finding out he has PIED! He hid the whole porn addiction and never pressed for sex. Thought he was just being a gentleman, turns out he can’t get it up with a woman in person. Waste of 4 months but no hesitation to dump his ass as soon as I knew the truth.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
