Why does her cycle dictate your progress? It doesn't. Knowledge of her cycle allows me to time my actions. It's like letting a fish run, then reeling it in. I don't have confidence in Christianity. Part of this stems from the Red Pill itself (why would God create love as a sorting algorithm to eliminate the worst genes) and part of it is a series of other gigantic questions surrounding the nature of truth, etc. Can you articulate these doubts a little more clearly? That statistic does not include separated moms who now have a live-in boyfriend, stepdad, pimp, etc. When those are added in, it's probably more than 50% of children who are not being raised by their actual father. It's difficult to find the real statistic, because social scientists and reporters use data such as "having a father in the home," where mom's chomo boyfriend counts as "a father." And every day, the family courts are creating more fatherless families.

Why is this so low? I'm a skeptic. I find it amazing that evangelicals would go around pronouncing final judgement upon themselves so confidently. I like your advice, because you seem to be the only one who sees that I am in it for the long haul. Divorce does not make the problem go away. So long as you have kids, you are locked into a relationship with that person. I hear you about getting back on weights. Thanks for the recommendation. I sincerely enjoyed watching some of his videos. But his advice seems more practical for men who are in a position to avoid the situation I am in. The problem of how to work your way out of the situation once you are in it is much tougher. Any videos you know of where he addresses that?

That was my first thought, but I don't see any evidence to corroborate it. I still know my oldest one pretty well. The second one has been alienated from me quite a bit, so I would be less surprised with her, although I think she might be more attracted to girls.

Ordinarily, I would agree. But in our case we have been working on a plan for a long time to maintain separate residences. I guess it wasn't happening quickly enough for her. My hope is that I can get her moved into a new place soon. Honestly, it doesn't change our relationship much. I've been taking the long position in the marriage for a long time, and this just pushes it out farther. It's an application of the MRP adage that marriage is bad for men, but divorce is even worse.

Now that I have heard that story, I think your wife is actually quite different from mine. My wife has never been ashamed to ask me for money (demand, extort, etc.). I'm not that far along in RP. Turning around our finances is my only real accomplishment so far. But that was huge. I take it you are familiar with Dave Ramsey's FPU program? I love the way you keep bringing it back to the point. I will try to speak to it. Jesus actually does say quite a few things about sex. For example, he says that whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. As there are men on this forum who are doing exactly that, I would think they might be less ready to throw stones at you for asking the question.

I'm not saying that your interpretation is wrong, or that sex outside of marriage is right. But I will maintain that the passages quoted do not prove your assertion that Paul (no earlier authors are mentioned) believed all sex outside of marriage to be porneia ("sexual immorality"). I also think it might be fair to ask you what, in your mind, would constitute a marriage, in the sense Paul spoke of it, since nothing in our civil law corresponds to Biblical marriage.

I had a similar experience. The civil dissolution did not turn out all that bad. What turned out bad was the second marriage. I went from the frying pan into the fire.
