I'm gonna go ahead and say it: not enough dick in their lives.

I’m actually a screenwriter you condescending prick. You aren’t making a salient point whatsoever. The Ghostbusters remake was bad, but it wasn’t bad because it was a reboot. Reboots just tend to be void of imagination because they are so often perpetrated as lazy cash grabs by studio heads who know they can be lazy and ride on previously sewn coattails. The Ghostbusters remake could have been good if it was written and directed well. It’s that simple. This other narrative you keep harping on is…

EVERY movie is an investment and a product. It’s not really up to you to decide what is art and what is not. The only criticism worth constructing is that which analyzes film on its merits as a film. Whether studios see a picture as a cash grab or not is irrelevant from the standpoint of film criticism. That’s what you aren’t getting (as evidenced by that large condescending paragraph explaining capitalism). Ultimately a reboot is just a movie. You can do it poorly or do it well.

I liked Spider-Man: Homecoming. But I guess you’d rather shit all over the creatives who were involved in that? What about Batman Begins? Just a couple examples. Good filmmaking demands imagination. Here’s you: “Reboot bad!”

I still fail to see your logic. Those past films should not prevent a writer and director from being able to make a good movie. Blaming the utter failure that is this reboot on those old films is missing just how bad the reboot is on its own. It’s also sort of saying the human imagination isn’t capable of making certain movies good and I think that’s a poor outlook.

It’s an abomination. It’s lazy-as-fuck writing. I know Paul Feig can produce good comedies with women but his story is bad and his dialogue was largely improvised without any underlying comedic inspiration.

I don’t understand when people say a movie was “totally unnecessary”. A reboot of Ghostbusters could have been done really well. It wasn’t. It’s really that simple.

What does “mature” mean in the context you’re using it. What you’re implying isn’t scientific fact. You’re twisting a scientific concept to suit your argument.

Men have privilege in society. So do women. This just highlights the fact that it's not just white men in society who enjoy privilege. There are countless privileged groups in society.

Good luck with that attitude.

First, you're rude. Good luck with that. Second, yes I think the majority of coaches do this. I can't say how often players are paying attention to this coaching. If the umpire doesn't see eye contact between them then it may largely be ignored. Coaching is completely irrelevant if the player isn't paying attention. There's often merely a soft warning given. Serena says she saw encouragement rather than coaching. She may be telling the truth. What the umpire may have seen is a coach giving her a…

Uh... I've been watching slams from start to finish since I was a child. I play multiple times a week. I'm asking for data. Yes, soft warnings for coaching are often given rather than full on code violations. But without data the impressions that you get are meaningless.
/r/PussyPassDenied10/09/18 08:19 PM
6

First, judges RARELY ever call for this violation even though almost 100% of coaches and players are guilty of it. I'd like to see the data on this. Anyway, it's not an easy call to make. Maybe coaches get away with cheating because the umpire didn't see it. We can't say for sure.
/r/PussyPassDenied10/09/18 08:13 PM

That isn't really speaking to my point. While the law may not distinguish between a 17 and a 7 year old, we can. People don't refer to 17 year olds as children. I personally don't think it's morally right for a 40 year old to sleep with a 17 year old in most cases however I think it's far more morally reprehensible for a 40 year old to have sex with a 7 year old.
/r/PussyPassDenied21/08/18 12:45 AM
1

Ah yes the social contract... the one contract that doesn't require agreement by both parties. Anyway the law doesn't often allow for nuance, the type of nuance that distinguishes between a child who is 17 and a child who is 7.

the law is the fucking law. What does this mean?

It's a deterrent. Future families will benefit. If you were allowed to say any disrespectful thing in the courtroom to families who have lost loved ones then there would be serious problems. Families of the deceased deserve better.

Thanks for chiming in. Boxing isn't grappling. You're the only one here with any sense of how things work when it comes to technique.
/r/PussyPassDenied26/06/17 05:39 AM

So Kevin Durant would beat Serena Williams in tennis? Boxing skills won't translate to grappling in any significant way. Mayweather wouldn't win a single grappling match against Ronda.

If there is striking she gets destroyed 100% of the time. Even in MMA terms she was a terrible boxer. I'm just saying that grappling is a whole different animal. It's all technique and leverage. Strength and speed advantages are less significant.

Go train jiu jitsu with a world class black belt female and you'll change your mind. He would win zero matches on the ground. How would he even submit her? He has never trained in his life.
/r/PussyPassDenied26/06/17 02:09 AM

She should win 100 times out of 100 in a submission grappling match, ADCC rules. The man has trained nothing in this area. She would have him arm barred in seconds.
/r/PussyPassDenied26/06/17 02:02 AM

No, because he doesn't train grappling. Have you ever trained any grappling in your life? You wouldn't ask such a silly question if you did.

I asked you a question: do you actually believe that adults can't fuck teenagers without it being rape?
/r/PussyPassDenied20/08/16 07:27 PM

Yes, statutory rape. Rape is rape huh? Is that your position?
/r/PussyPassDenied20/08/16 07:22 PM

If you think an adult (especially in a position of power) can fuck teenagers, and not have it considered rape then, no offence, you're kind of retarded.

If you think an adult (especially in a position of power) can fuck teenagers, and not have it considered rape then, no offence, you're kind of retarded. This is what you said. Do you stand by it? Do you stand by the position that adults can't fuck teenagers and not have it be considered rape? Let's just focus on your words. That's all we have here.

You asked me if I would say the same for a 13 or 14 year old girl? Why? The boy is 15, not 13 or 14. Do you need to shift the goal posts to make your point? Consensual sex between a woman and a 15 year old boy is not the same as sex between a grown man and a 5 year old boy. The whole "rape is rape" attitude is idiotic. There's grey area. There's nuance. I wouldn't expect you to understand that.
/r/PussyPassDenied20/08/16 06:56 PM

You implied it was wrong for adults to fuck teenagers. I corrected your stupidity (temporarily). Don't try to project your ignorance on me.

According to the law you can be put in prison for growing plants. This isn't rape. He fucked a hot older woman and bragged about it.

/r/PussyPassDenied20/08/16 06:08 PM

Do you really think there are no power dynamics at play? I didn't say that, but if you take age out of the equation it's closer to boss/employee. A boss/employee relationship is more unethical than a teacher/student relationship in many people's eyes (assuming everyone is of age). The is mainly about age. You can't separate this "power dynamic" from age. It's tied to it.

What are you trying to ask with this question? It reads like a statement with a question mark on the end, almost like inflection. I'm trying to ask what the words say I'm trying to ask: if this had been in college, all other variables the same, would it still have been such a huge deal? No. The answer is no. Anyway, how is this all about age? Can you prove to me that there is no power dynamic at play or that it didn't have any bearing on the situation? Imagine if you, as a teenager, had a non-re…

I mean, college professors are teachers too. This is more about the age than the position of authority she held. I'm not saying it wasn't immoral but people are full of shit if they're THAT offended by it. People fuck.

Oh well since you wrote it in all caps I totally see your point. But for everyone else, what's your point?
/r/PussyPassDenied20/05/16 03:59 AM

I honestly don't think you can paint these things with such a big brush. Some people are more mature than others. Everyone is different. Sixteen is legal in many parts of the developed world to my knowledge.
/r/PussyPassDenied19/05/16 10:36 PM

I'm okay with the laws being the same. I just don't think it's completely fucked that a 27 year old woman had sex with a 16 year old dude.

I know he was defending himself. I'm not doubting that. She got what was coming to her. But if my friend started kicking a girl's ass I would probably stop him once it was clear he was out of danger.

2: If it isn't bullshit, it's still bullshit because if he didn't want to get him in trouble, he'd have stopped the girl way before the guy had no other choice but to defend himself. Right. Because these are rational people who have the exact same decision making prowess that you do. Sorry for interrupting the circle jerk chief.
