I have the same problem, I feel there are two reasons for this:- We're not used to it: it's not natural for us. It's the first time doing something. Of course we'll be terrified of it. Stoned in our happiness: We're so happy with the fact that we don't feel anxiety thinking about the approach that we just bask in the satisfaction of that. You already feel good enough about being confident, why would you make yourself feel even better by approaching?

I think it's both a bit of confirmation bias and them having bigger social circles. Or they do approach more women, they just don't see it as a task to do, like you, who is starting out on doing this. Also they might be settling for whichever girl shows interest, instead of going after the girl they like.
