As someone with a degree in early childhood education and long hours in the classroom, boys are favored more at a young age. My husband did this too, but my thumb print NEVER works for phones, it’s really annoying. I know his passcodes and passwords for most things. If I asked I’m sure he’d give me the other more non-important things

I think it is but you’re also at two way different points in your life at 15 and 17. 17 you’re already an adult making big plans to move away for college or move out in months a lot of the time and 15 you still probably have a curfew and need to report to your parents. Children develop at different stages and 17 and 15 are completely different stages.
