Obviously it is a good thing if you have them because you like women and not because it was good for dating. My best friend is male. I fixed him up with loads of my friends, including one of his wives. But I am not sure how many men in this sub actually like women. If you don't, no point being friends with them. Not all women may be smart enough to know what your agenda is but they will sense that you have one. You gotta give friendship to get friendship.

Verbally suggesting she take it deeper isn't what is being discussed here.

A ten year marriage isn't the long haul, buddy. You did the easy stint.

There is virtually no technique of any kind in 99.999 of porn. Try the kama sutra. Or tantric sex.

Your buddy should be reported to animal control. I hope he is a better father than he is a pet owner. I would have opened the back door of my car for that lab and driven off with him -- friendship over.

Virtually all women are attracted to partners who look at them with desire. Knowing how to look at a woman goes a very long way. You'd be amazed at how many men suck at eye contact.

Wow, I still can't get over the fact that any man, anywhere, thinks they can learn how to have sex from watching porn. Porn actors are either being paid for sex or having it under duress. Would you ask a prostitute for sex tips? She's going to suggest you skip the foreplay and finish as soon as possible.

Five foot six is not the same as four foot 11. Most women are still shorter than five foot six. Lots actually prefer average men (five foot eight) and have no problem with short-ish men.

A lot do -- but some will date any culture except the one they grew up in. A lot of women who grew up in a paternalistic setting don't want to repeat the experience.

A lot of women like short men just fine. Not sure what ethnic means exactly (but if you speak entirely different languages I guess that's germaine)

Honestly you are very tall. I am a five foot four woman. The tallest man I ever dated was 6'4" and it didn't feel comfortable. Really, I'm happier with 5'8" or 5"10. The larger differential makes cuddling clumsy.

Perhaps he has the good sense not to chase women who are attached / unavailable / out of his league. Some men and some women have a kind of sixth sense when to make a play and when to sit back. It is the opposite of the folks who claim it is a numbers game -- that may work for some people but for others the strain of maintaining equilibrium through frequent rejection is too overwhelming to endure. Those people become extremely adept at identifying the "sure thing". And yes, you forfeit occasiona…

It doesn't seem to occur to anyone here that maybe upon reflection her kitchen is a mess and she doesn't have time to clean/shop and cook. Women like men sometimes make ambitious plans they don't follow through on. Suggest doing something simple like grabbing a bite somewhere ... then if she says no you will know she lost interest. Now, all you know is she doesn't feel like cooking for you.

Of course they are. Otherwise it looks as if you didn't exert any effort to be appealing. They take so little effort as it is, given how brief they are, so why skip that step?

You were raped. I was too, more than once (and both times by men I thought were 'friends'. Saying "yes" because they physically prevent you from leaving and you are afraid it will get uglier is still rape. We should be able to see how are dates and friends live in their own space without that being taken as de facto consent. Blessings to you!

I gave it up about a year ago. It just wasn't giving me pleasure anymore. Not saying I wouldn't have champagne at a New Year's Eve party post-COVID, or share a bottle of wine at a fine meal at some point, but I don't buy liquor for the house. I was only having two drinks a night, but even a daily drink raises your cancer and other health risks considerably. Plus empty calories. So not worth it if it's just me and the dogs or me and a girlfriend watching Netflix. There are other splurges I love m…

I did not personally respond to Jammies post but I will say now that I think I misunderstood it. I am way to scared to date at this point and yet I am here because the wisdom of the core tenets is helping immensely with my recovery from trauma. I am also here because I was investigating it as a resource for two very young actively dating women I care about very much (my stepdaughters from previous relationships) and I am thrilled to say they both joined. It was a great relief to me to read "if y…

Yes! I know this sub frowns on the concept of platonic male friends but I consider my college friend for over 35 years to have grandfathered status. This guy does not watch porn. He doesn't cheat on his wife (I was best man at their wedding) He is financially generous, clean in his personal habits and as a boss he has always hired and promoted women. I am proud he is my friend. I also had a terrific loyal father (now dead) and a boss turned business partner (also dead) who was a stellar husband …

I'm really glad that the outrage posting is banned. I see enough of that stuff elsewhere without seeing it in the sub I think of as my refuge.

You sound like a truly beautiful and thoughtful person. Love your reasons -- they are unassailable! I am inspired. It is exciting to see principles we read about here play out to positive effect in the real world. Wishing you every blessing!

She deleted her post after getting tons of comments telling her to divorce him

Okay, I found the post in the screenshot and looked at the guy's profile! He is a CHEATER who previously posted "Should I feel bad for sleeping with another girl while seeing her? Even if she was still hanging out with her ex boyfriend and talking to her." He cheats with a human and is jealous of her vibrator, seriously.

Thank you I had no idea either. I also had to look up the shrimp emoji (and previously, eggplant), both of which I previously made me want Chinese food. (Not sheltered, just old)

Loved every previous episode. This one lost me at Cops, Robbers and Princesses. Hated it. Hated it. Hated it. I'm 63 and even back in Catholic School days, none of my female friends aspired to Princess-hood ... we played pirates, pretended to be Beatles, enjoyed dodgeball and ringelario at recess right along with the boys -- who were taught to use their physicality with discretion and restraint, not go play with somebody stronger. Seriously, the gender role for boys is to teach them to be heroes…
