Haha that's a big question, now I'm curious why you're curious. But I’m bored at work so I went ahead and wrote you a short book. I think the attempt to view human nature and behavior in general from an objective viewpoint is a worthwhile effort. It's something I've been interested in for a long time. It's what I studied in college. I think evolutionary psychology in particular is the best means we have of doing this. I think other humanities and social sciences, psychology in particular, operat…

Lack of knowledge mostly, I don't know enough about it to know that it's something I want to align myself with, if that makes sense. A lot of what I see posted here just seems whiny and inflammatory, instead of being thoughtful or constructive. I feel similarly about TRP, I think it's a world of ideas very much worth exploring, but there's just so much negative emotion mixed in. It seems more focused on being angry than anything else. That's not how I feel first of all (angry), and it's not a co…

I definitely don't identify as an MRA but this is one of the issues I have with feminism. By aggressively pushing the narrative of female victimhood, which seems to apply in any and all circumstances regardless of the details, and irrespective of the truth or objective basis of that narrative, feminists are effectively denying their own capacity for self-determination. It comes off as an admission of inferiority. "Look, see, here's another example of how men have more responsibility than women!"…

God, seriously. You couldn't pay me to read the rest of that post after seeing that first line. I'm on board with exploring TRP the theory, but literally embarrassed by the content I see in TRP the subreddit.

This is accurate I think. It's a subconscious predisposition, just like most sexual preferences. A man doesn't see a girl then sit down and write a pros and cons list to decide whether he finds her attractive or not. That doesn't mean there aren't explanations for finding a certain quality attractive or unattractive, but finding those reasons is an academic endeavor completely separate from actually experiencing them. This comment thread is mostly just guys saying "well I know I find it unattrac…

Western societies are all about individualism. We cherish our freedom, the freedom to make our own decisions and find our own way without anyone else stopping us. We've set up governments, legal systems and social orders that maximize individual liberty. This sounds great, but put it another way: western society emphasizes and encourages selfishness. People are out for their own best interests. Accordingly, whatever power we are given to affect the world around us, we use to shape it to our bene…

So true. The former brought me to TRP, while the latter has kept me from paying much attention to it lately. I realized I'm smarter and better equipped to explore true "Red Pill" ideas than most of the posters in the actual subreddit. Once you have an open mind, you can find lessons or revelations, even small ones, almost everywhere. So much of TRP talk and commentary isn't even consistent with the basic tenets of TRP. It's treated more like a political and philosophical ideology, rather than a …

Is this actually sustainable? Does anyone live like this? It sounds appealing, but I find it hard to imagine taking a 1.5-3 hour nap every weekday evening so you can go out at 11 to have one drink. There's also a lot you would miss by giving up evenings, such as any kind of dinner plan or after-work shopping. With this plan, can you skip an evening nap and sleep for a more standard 8 hours on that night? Or does the napping every day have to be consistent for this to be maintainable?

For years, the FBI defined forcible rape, for data collecting purposes, as “the carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will.” ...Finally, in 2012, the FBI revised its definition and focused on penetration, with no mention of female (or force). So before 2012, according to the FBI, a man could not be "forcibly raped?" I must be misunderstanding, or else this is the most alarming and perplexing fact I've ever learned from this subreddit.

That's what surprised me the most. Not some tiny lib arts school in the north east, but a large and relatively prestigious public research university.

You'll hear it a lot, but IMO this is rule number 1: cut her out of your life. No contact, no "friendship," get her off your Facebook (either defriend her, or, make it so her updates don't show up on your newsfeed and block her on chat), avoid mutual friends, get rid of things that remind you of her if needed, etc. This will be harder in the short term, but MUCH easier in the long run. Because if you keep her in your life, you will end up spending months or years trying to get over her. It will …

This is one of the inconsistencies I haven't been able to get past. TRP looks at sexual strategy on an individual level for men (an alpha would do this, a beta would do that), but on a more generalized group level for women (women are like this, women prefer that). The focus is on how an individual man can have success with women in general – which makes sense for practical purposes and PUA advice, but isn’t really consistent with the idea of “Taking The Red Pill” in general. TRP claims to see t…

https://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/assault/assault_article3.shtml The whole article is interesting and relatively neutral/fact-based. Here's a relevant excerpt, although note that it just looks at alleged rape victims' toxicology reports, not whether the victims claimed to be drugged or not: ElSohly & Salamone (1999) report that the substances found most frequently in urine samples of 1179 cases collected from alleged victims in 49 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia over a 26 mon…

It's such a perfectly apt analogy that the truth behind it feels inherent and incontestable. This is alarming for people who hear it but aren't able to accept it.

I think some of the most visible RPers are those that tout extremely hasty and sometimes dangerous conclusions. I don't think the main principles of TRP are wrong, though, including the acknowledgement of inherently different male and female sexual roles and how to manipulate those roles to your advantage. I'm not an expert but I'd say you're engaging in behavior that largely demonstrates TRP beliefs. Thanks again for sharing your experience and answering so many questions!

Thanks for your answer, and for the rest of your answers too. Your point about the male/female sexual power dynamic is interesting - sure you're not a redpiller? Kind of tangential, but for girls you meet and fuck in the "real world," not from Tinder, how do you determine whether they're into the kinky/nasty stuff? Do you just try it in the moment and see how they react?

Just say that you like treating women like whores, but do it in a cheeky and unapologetic way. Basically show that you're comfortable and don't think there's anything wrong with it. Here's a question: do you truly feel this way? Do you like treating women like whores, and are you comfortable doing it and don't think there's anything wrong with it? By extension, do you think it's OK for a girl to enjoy being treated like a whore? Not a rhetorical question, I'm genuinely asking. I admire your conf…
