A google search gives me 17500/18500 results for "kidnapped by father"/"abducted by father" and 15300/16500 for "mother". There is a little difference, maybe because some abductions look more like kidnapping than others.

That's not what I believe. I am not defending them but giving them the information that the discussion is less "ask women"-y than it usually is.
