Actually unless you are a pro athlete avoid any kind of contact sparring. More and more research shows sparring is dangerous long term, its constant low impact blows to the head, these all add up. Robbie Lawler a pro mma fighter doesn't even spa between fights any more, and more and more athletes are waking up in regards to sparring.
