I got banned for calling out a psycho, and also for saying that circumcision is bad

No, it’s an easy choice. Don’t do it. Answer his questions frankly when he asks, and do your part to normalize it.

….. you would be accused of taking the spotlight from marginalized groups and called an !ncel or similar?

Oh I see the problem here, they forgot to apply the EmoTIoNal LaBOr multiplier of 1.6 to all jobs inside a house /s

No, but I got a permanent ban from feminism yesterday for bringing up how routine circumcision is still legal and widely accepted in North America

Expecting parents are 100% the right demographic to be talking to. Even if you can just get them on board to give thier child a choice, that’s all that has to be done. “Hey, you should let him decide how he wants his penis to look……It can be done at any time and there is no special cleaning or treatment that an intact boy needs…. It’s way easier to deal with in the first few weeks than worrying about an infection, just leave it alone…” all good messages

Had it done to me, definitely DID NOT do it to my son. I can see the shame that might come if you came to the realization after you did it to your child before fully comprehending what you were doing, but yeah, time to break the cycle. Get it out in the open

Not the kind of thing to bring to HR, their job is to protect and benefit the company. Legal, sure, but don’t show your hand with the company before you try to sue.

Ok bud. Until you have something concrete to back it up, this is just another extraordinary claim with no extraordinary evidence.

(Incidentally, it's the reason Nazism is patently Feminine) Ummmm what? I’m gonna need some receipts for this one, chief

Q: How many feminists does it take to change a lightbulb? A: That’s not funny.

From what I’ve seen it’s some sort of feminist meta-game where every problem needs to be linked to it in the fewest number of steps. Kinda like 6 degrees of Bacon.

Lol, you are definitely correct about the commodification of people on dating sites and how it runs exactly opposite leftist fundamentals, but maybe a touch abrasive? Everyone (aside from the board of directors at Tinder) has huge valid gripes about online dating, the whole thing should be thrown into a volcano

Eliminate gender specific wording when it comes to infant genital mutilation laws. Easy as pie. Body autonomy trumps religion every time, regardless of what’s in your pants.

Yes! And it’s awesome! Every new father I know is taking advantage of it. I was also lucky enough to get 28 weeks paid paternity leave with my current employer with my youngest so both my wife and I could spend the time at home as a family. I couldn’t believe how much lasting good it has done for our relationship and our family dynamic. 10/10

That’s a very valid criticism of how capitalism leverages feminism to turn everyone into wage slaves. Two working parents isn’t healthy at all for the kids but it’s the grim reality of what’s happening now with a lot of people. We can argue at length about unpaid labour in the home, wage gap etc, but that’s not the whole story. My wife and I could both work, we both have degrees, but we are lucky enough to have the choice of a single working parent. That is an immense privilege, but it’s cast as…

Yeah...... my son’s kindergarten teacher has this on a poster in the class. I had actually just learned the roots of it last week as well. If, (and it’s a big if) the kids end up going back for in-school learning after this current lockdown, I will be taking a stand on it. Removing it myself if needed is definitely on the table.

Ok right on. It’s just that I see a lot of anti-feminist stuff here and i don’t think it’s productive or necessary. Yes misandry is a real thing, but I think the airspace it’s given here is better used for other discussions.

This seems like you’re trying to pull a “gotcha”, and I’m not really onboard with it. I am, however, onboard with trans rights and I’m glad that you are as well. Please let’s not use them as pawns, let’s be welcoming and inclusive just because it’s the right thing to do.

Yeah, not gonna lie, it was definitely one of those things that caused me to look hard at what’s going on right now. I have a son in kindergarten and a daughter who’s a couple of years younger and want a world that is fair and full of opportunity for both of them. I also want to teach both of them the right, mortally just and kind things to do, and how to live. But brother, it’s tough.

Ok, yeah that is pretty wild. TIL where the phrase on that “the future is female” poster at my son’s kindergarten class came from. This will be discussed. Thanks!

Sketchy link bro, that site as a whole seems a little off brand for what this sub is about, but I see your point

I’m surprised you haven’t included “toxic masculinity” as it’s often used to undermine and distort otherwise reasonable discussion about any kind of traditional interest or historical roles. Also “mansplain”. Maybe this one is a little too personal for me, but it’s often used as a “get out of this discussion free card”

Well written. I agree with the sentiment completely but find it hard to justify aligning with reactionary groups, even tangentially. Anger is valid, anger is real but (hopefully) anger is fleeting and paves the way for aligning men with forces for good and not leading down a rabbit hole of bigotry and hate which is all too common. That point in our journey is crucial to getting the right morally just message across and we need more spaces that are supportive to this angry stage without turning h…

Very much so. It’s kinda disheartening to read things like this in job postings: “self identification is optional and priority will be given to BIPOC, women and members of the LGBTQ+ community” so as a straight white man that’s ok to tell me I’m at the back of the pack right off the bat?
