As far as I can tell she's claiming there was rape, and that rape is what dissolves their contract, but in order for the judge to release her from her contract wouldn't they still have to prove rape happened? meaning that ya this is a civil case but it's resting on the results from a criminal case that haven't happened. So I don't think it's wrong to say it's beyond reasonable doubt. Not 100% sure though.

Watched an interesting documentary called "inside Lego" where the company talks about this actually, they are def aware that girls play with Lego based off the doc but they do take a marketing strategy to sell it to the different demographics. Anyway if you're interested in the subject "Inside Lego" is like 30 minutes

Ya see you say that, but at the end of the day americans are trusting their political leaders to make that call. I doubt there would be a referendum or anything. The track record of america and war seems to indicate a registered person isn't as safe as they think.

How can they do that? I understand the court can over rule a contract if there was a mistake or lack of consent, minors entering into it etc, but when two consenting adults have a contract which is perfectly legal, and presumably drawn up by a contract lawyer, how can they void it?

I think it comes down to lack of education for most people. If you look back on your entire relationship with him I'm sure you'll see clues to his true nature, knowing now that he was that kind of person. There's probably signs in most cases people miss or dismiss they later realize they shouldn't have brushed off. Don't beat yourself up though, no reason you should have been on high alert, that's just paranoid.
