Seconded for finding a powerlifting gym, bud. I'm in Australia however, but I am sure it be similar. My gym doesn't even have a shower. 2 toilets, almost nowhere to put your gear. Chalk everywhere. Metal blasting and the friendliest fucking dudes I've ever met. Everyone there is working for two reasons: 1 to get healthier, 2 to get over/deal with some shit. I fucking love it. I feel so at home.
