Met my ex on bumble. Turns out that he just couldn’t stay off those apps, even when in a relationship-he just replaced the dating app swiping with Instagram lurking. He had a constant shopper mentality. Wound up dating someone he met off Hinge immediately after our breakup (and highly likely even before we fully split), after we’d been together for three years. But he insists he’s a “good person” and a “good catch”. 😂🤷‍♀️ I can’t say that I’ve met anyone of quality on dating apps. I’m not on the…

Switch the LLL for quotes from Rumi and you nailed it! “What you seek is seeking you”. So pretentious! 🙄

I turned mine into a gorgeous bezel set solitaire pendant, cost about $150 total. I wear it on a snake chain and get a ton of compliments. It’s my daily go-to necklace, very classy and understated. I don’t like rings at all but always wanted a diamond pendant, so I made it happen!

Same! I’d be behind him rolling my eyes while he took 30 photos of the same pose. If I was reeeallly lucky, he’d blow bubbles and get a photo of those as well.

I used to have to pay for half of my own birthday trips, small getaways that didn’t cost much but I was nickel and dimed into it. Constantly. NEVER AGAIN.

Same, my ex was a floating retail pharmacist who would work anywhere within a two hour drive. It didn’t become a thing until we moved in together. With him not getting home until 10pm, and me being in bed by 930 to get up at 5am, we would go for as many as five days without seeing each other. I saw his mess though, and had to either clean it or live with it for days. And the weekends, everyone else was out hiking, going on weekend trips, even just grocery shopping together. Him working all weeke…

Mine: shift work (nights and weekends), dirty home (especially the bathroom and bed linens), don’t take care of their pets or clean up after them when they have behavioral issues (and ignore treating those issues with medication), lets their dad do their house and yard work, excessive talking about the recent ex or displaying their things, staying up really late and sleeping past noon, emotional coldness, inability to process other viewpoints (there’s a difference between hearing and actually un…

My ex had excellent handwriting but was an awful driver. I feared for my life many times, and my mood would change whenever I got into his car. I tried to always drive because of it. He would go 40 miles over the speed limit in small towns, change lanes without looking, backup without checking, or go really slow because he was focusing on his phone for directions or music. I do not miss that.

Oh I told my ex this and he came up with a number of things, ranging from me being insane to feel this way, to not being committed enough to him.
