There is a different type of stigma between bi men and bi women. When a man is bi, he's basically gay to society. When a woman is bi, she's basically straight to society. Her attraction to women is just "seeking attention", "experimenting", it doesn't really exist. She's kinky straight, so she must be fun and outgoing. Both suck.

I don’t think they’re a problem or nuisance to anyone, especially not the women. It’s just that whenever there is a competition, opting out is often seen as “giving up” or “losing” to those still competing. Obviously that’s bullshit, people have all kinds of valid reasons not to compete, but it will be still seen that way.

I agree with you. Men and women should have time to spend with their kids. “Providing” can be anything where you put effort into your wife and family. Labour can be payed with labour. It doesn’t necessarily have to be money. You’re saying completely different things from what the other dude is saying though. He’s saying “come on get over having to gestate. Monkeys do it without complaining.” Like women owe him free labour by default.

1) I’m not sure if you missed my previous comment. I’m planning to provide for my wife when she gives me a child. I’m obviously not a mother. 2) I thought you guys hated alimony and all that. 3) The “emotional” part of pregnancy is not some insignificant “entitlement” thing though. Suicide rates significantly go up in the period of about a year after giving birth. For example, the woman’s brain shrinks temporarily, which is to induce memory loss. It makes sense from an evolutionary point of view…

Who has the attitude here? I’m very eager to provide for my wife in return for her birthing my children. You’re the one whining about being expected to give something back, when someone gives something to you. It’s basic decency. Since you guys are against providing, I was curious about the alternative. I guess I was stupid for coming here and expecting a rational answer.

I don’t think people are willing do to free labour in this economy, no matter how many times you tell them to “get over it”. So I don’t see how that will solve anything. But thanks for the reply.

I’m actually curious about something with regards to providing for the family as a man. Imagine if a man and woman get married and decide to have children together. The child benefits parents equally (assuming their both wanted it), though it traditionally carries the fathers last name, so it carries on only his family legacy. That being said, biologically the creation of children is a very unequal thing. The mother has to put in extensive physical and emotional labour, with many sacrifices (hea…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
