That last point was my first thought. What do you expect when teens aren't even taught how to use condoms?

I know that when I attempted suicide at the age of 16 I survived because I jumped off a bridge into a river. A gun would probably have worked better...

The 10 billion dollar aircraft carrier is peanuts compared to the trillion dollar flying turkey, er I mean F-35.

I recently was in an accident where I rear-ended someone at a stoplight. The police officer who gave me the citation told me that according to state law he HAD to issue a citation to the party he deemed most at fault if the damages from the accident exceeded a certain amount. I would imagine this state has a similar statute. It doesn't mean she is charged with manslaughter but I'm sure there's some sort of negligence charge she could be cited with.

Well in the Middle Ages many towns and cities justified having legalized or otherwise sanctioned prostitution precisely to prevent men from raping women.

Oh they put on makeup alright, but Bozo would be astounded at how much they spend!

The military even has a term for that. "Jody" is the guy who lives in your house, wears your clothes, drives your vehicle and bangs your wife/girlfriend while you're on a training exercise or deployed.

99% of the time I would agree. The other 1% would be circumstances outside of their control such as a massive accident causing a huge traffic jam throughout the city or some kind of natural disaster. However during that 1% the applicant should still explain the situation. Telling a potential employer "My house caught fire last night could we reschedule the interview?" should be acceptable as long as the candidate is being honest.

If I were late I certainly wouldn't give up because there is still a small chance that I might get hired. However I certainly would understand that I likely screwed up the interview and expect the company to not hire me, let alone inform me of the decision.

I'm well aware and I have heard stories from the senior NCOs when I was still in the Army.

Fair enough. In the end that would probably be a better solution because then it wouldn't rely on a judge to have friendly interpretation of the laws.

That's exactly what the SHARP program taught me in the Army. I think the logic is that by letting people get away with making inappropriate jokes then you give them the courage to push the boundary even further. I think it's a stretch.

Only one of the interviewees was male, and that incident happened over 30 years ago. I'm not downplaying what happened to him which was horrible, however there is nothing current in that movie that discusses any assaults against men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
