My fellow Christians often conflate forgiveness with a lack of consequences. Sure, God can forgive infidelity, just as He can forgive any other sin. But that does not free one from the consequences of engaging in that behavior. If I shoplift, I must pay restitution even if I am forgiven. If I murder someone, I must spend time in prison even if I am forgiven. If I cheat on my spouse, I must face the consequences, be they divorce or whatever, even if I am forgiven.

I read all three books and found them pretty entertaining. I noticed most everything you posted there though. One thing I have to add is that the main character, Blomkvist, is an extremely transparent author avatar. The author, Larsson, was an investigative journalist turned author. The highest rated comments on that post are the ones that are critical of the OP's profile, both for its defensiveness, baggage, bad grammar, and yes, her weight. Most of the stuff agreeing with the OP rests at the bottom like the detritus in my fish tank. However, as one commenter there pointed out, the OP is not responding to any criticism. The illusion of choice is a great thing. When dealing with toddlers and strong-willed young children, providing a false choice (Do you want to wear your Superman or Batman pajamas for bed tonight?) is a powerful tool in making them feel like they are in control. The same thing works with adults too - just look at presidential elections in the US.
