14	Starting over at 56 I've been divorced 4.5 years now. I'm 59. Amicable divorce after 34 years and 6 kids. Neither of us wanted to be married anymore. Married way to young. I live in a 2br night near the beach. I go out probably 4-5 nights a week with different groups of friends. I learned to cook, I bake bread even. I ride my bicycle. I do some hobbies when I have time. I'm currently dating, I've dated a number of women on and off for the last 4 years. 2	What do you do with yourself? I do lots of meetups too. One of my favorites is a board game group that meets at Panera. Starting your own group is not hard, I wouldn't be surprised to get lots of attendees fairly quickly. Another group regularly does trivia. I don't really like trivia but in a group it doesnt really matter - easy way to make friends. 2	lonely I'm near a city in the US, meetup.com has lots of groups in my area and a few that I'm a part of. I've learned that there are often groups of people that have been meeting for years - I had no idea! For example in my board game groups they talk about conventions and contests in my state and others. I never thought to even search for that. 5	lonely I found found great joy going to meetup groups in my area. I love board games and there are 2 different groups. The groups are both very welcoming to new people, just sit down and learn and play new games. There are lots of other groups around, search the web. 3	Divorced men over 50 why us? M57. married 34 years, 6 kids (youngest is now 18), divorced 2 years ago. We parted on great terms IMO. I LOVE being single. Do whatever I want, whenever I want. Joined some meetup groups. Met some wonderful women but won't ever get married again. Life goes on, make it a point to enjoy every day. Don't focus on the past, look ahead!
