It's definitely worth checking out different social environments/groups and finding the one that works best for you. Just make sure you give each thing enough time to give it a fair chance. If there aren't enough cool interesting people near you, maybe it's time to move to a city you'll have more fun in.

I'm blessed with great looks, but I'm not a natural when it comes to game. Yeah I need it.

It kind of ends up with what's happened here. They're like "Oh. It's not that big of a deal, just be confident, blah blah." That "just be confident" is just a nice way of telling you that you come across as a wuss. This is coming from someone who's been there, so don't take it too harshly, but it needed to be said. And yeah, do see a therapist for a while. There's no shame in it, it's not like therapy is for just crazy people (people who are actually crazy are beyond help). It will be great to h…

Yup, but you have a penis, which makes your mating strategies different. ;-)

No, it's that women use other women's interest as a signal indicating fitness. The idea is that women tend to have common criteria they evaluate guys on, which leads to a useful heuristic that if another woman likes a guy, that guy probably has desirable traits.

You don't have to "cut her out" by making a scene of it or being a dick or anything. You just lose interest in her and stop being eager, like not initiating, not being into her, not being super vigilant about returning her texts, etc

I'm fully agreeing with you. Like I said in the OP I'm not trying to get her to cheat on her bf, but I'm game if she wants to leave him for me though.

I figured she's maybe just getting bored of him. And no, I don't think it's my responsibility to look out for his interests. That's between the two of them. If she's throwing herself at me, sure it sucks for him that he's not awesome enough to keep her interest.

OK this is true, but the way I look at it, she's communicating that she's attracted to me on a primal level, even though it's not like she's already decided to leave the boyfriend for me. I'm wondering how best to build on this primal response. She definitely is impressed by me.

Hmm, well, check out the movie Office Space then. It has some great role models.

Dude, that's a great (and trendy) job. Girls should eat that up. Just say it proudly and don't go into details and geek out about it. "Oh, I run a company that makes iPhone apps." That's all. You can explain more if she asks you about it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
