You are right, I haven’t reached 28 yet. Recently, I feel like I’ve made tons of sacrifices to better myself with what I wrote above: Education, securing an income, staying in shape, lots of hobbies but the only people that have noticed are my parents. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful for my parents support but I feel like I’ve put in the effort however I have very little to show for it.

And a reminder to men who are struggling mentally. Even with having yourself put together, finances in order, an income, in shape, not a door knob for personality - you still will get shot down, rejected, or ignored a large majority of the time.

Exactly, my break-up was literally one of the top 3 most traumatic experiences of my life and Caused the most drastic and immediate change in my life. Emotions, self confidence, and morale were so low. I considered giving her space then reaching out in a few weeks or a month...those days came and passed and I never sent thE message. Eventually the thought crossed my mind that even if we got back together I wouldn’t be able to forgive her for the pain and suffering she put me through. If she real…

Wow, I’m glad I read this, I’m about 10 months past my break-up and thought something was wrong with me for still being affected by it. I feel pressure from friends that I need to have success in the dating game, which has lead me to be too pushy/excited/eager in some instances. Immediately turning the girl off. This leaves me with no success and more negative thoughts racing through my brain.
/r/seduction16/05/20 01:30 PM

I want to address the 4th point. What do you mean by WIN friends and influence others? I might not have a great understanding Of the concept but To me it sounds like you are taking action to intentionally manipulate others such that there are winners and losers in a relationship. Like it’s a zero sum game, someone gets ahead while the other falls behind.

I feel like you are implying something but it’s hard to tell with no context clues, facial expressions, body language, or inflection.

I like the way you think. I am most certainly straight, not looking to physically mess around with another man. HOWEVER, flirting making eye contact with other men while out at the bar is a quick way to make new friends, meet new people and socialize. Quick field report: I was visiting a college town, drunk, and wasn’t in a situation to bring a girl back to where I was stayin. Met up with a child hood friend and his group, a total of 3 couples, 1 single girl and 1 single guy plus myself. I wante…

No OOF needed. I was donating plasma at the time. Half of their job is to be friendly and make sure the donors are somewhat comfortable. Also it’s not the best place to pick up numbers. What cute 18-28 year old college student/grad wants to grab drinks with a dude who donates his plasma for $$? I do take advantage and use this as a reason to talk to the employees when ever possible.
/r/seduction10/12/19 11:57 PM

She disclosed that she had a boyfriend as we were on the topic of buying vs. renting. I took my foot off the gas and just kept the conversation going at that point. TLDR: No I didn’t ask for her number.
/r/seduction10/12/19 11:51 PM

Yes they do. I struck up a conversation with a young good looking gal a few weeks ago and talked for about 15 minutes before we went our separate ways because she commented on my shoes.

I question the picture. Most likely taken before she became pregnant.

I’m right there with you OP. Girl at work is good looking, friendly, kind of awkward in a cute way. She made me aware that she liked me. I pushed her away and ignored it the best I could because I was in an LTR. Plus dont shit where you eat After the LTR ended I took 4+ months to figure myself out before asking said coworker out for drinks. Went well, we met up the next day for a movie, kissed, went our way. Work was a bit awkward the first few days after that. A week later we decided it was bet…

I’m curious where most people are at in life who read and post on this sub. I see myself in a time where a serious relationship is not possible. Given that I have events in my life that are more important than a long term relationship I also typically prioritize those events over chasing a partner. I am attracted when I don’t have to go very far out of my way to flirt and can easily swap back into work mode if need be. I think chasing a partner and going out of your way is a foolish way to spend…
/r/seduction02/12/19 03:40 PM

Ah, yeah I see your point. However I will argue that the timing is never “right” and waiting for the perfect moment when you hold all the cards could take years. Plus where’s the fun in that?
/r/seduction02/12/19 02:51 PM

Never a time better than the present to start my man!

Thank you for sharing this. Not many guys admit that their girlfriend doesn’t make them happy. For so many guys between 20 and 28 our culture pushes for us to lock down a partner and that is what will provide happiness. Happiness ultimately comes from within and then blossoms when you surround yourself with an environment that supports you.

/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen25/11/19 12:51 AM

The creepy guy vibe. Unfortunately I’ve been there. There is such a fine line between being friendly and genuine and becoming a creep when approaching.

Bro pull it together. It’s her way way of describing a thrilling person. She finds excitement in someone who isn’t a straight shooter. Follow the rules? No fuck that, bend them in your favor. Roll over and let the other team win when they are up? Nah man, focus on exploiting their weakness and embarrass them. She has the rest of her life to be with “mr. Perfect”. Right now, she wants biggest baddest douche bag to give her just enough attention to keep her entertained.

First and foremost: r/hydrohomies Second, I’m (M24) doing this tonight! Getting dropped off in a college town, at first I’ll be by myself. I plan to either make friends or bullshit with the bartender(s). Old friends are in the area not sure if they are coming out or not. I’m indifferent either way.

Can definitely back fire if it’s too detailed or personal of information.

“Anything less and I see that as disrespectful to myself and my goals” I’ve noticed a stale mate between “strong independent” men who own dating strategy and “strong independent” women who own dating strategy. If these two individuals were to meet neither would fit the bill for the other because the demands and requirements are outrageous in the other’s eyes. Idk - I’m just starting to read about this stuff from both sides and I find it extremely confusing.

I’ve gotten a lot of flack from a few friends and even a whole friend group for being independent and doing my own thing. “It’s weird that you would go to ___ alone.” “Yeah man, I guess I’m not surprised you did that by yourself. I certainly would never do that.” “Yeah I agree, you do some weird stuff by yourself.” All comments that have came out of close friends directed toward me.

She was my Highschool sweet heart. We recently broke after ~ 7 years together. She left me but I have since realized It was for the better. We both need to mature in different ways before either of us are ready to be in another serious relationship. Edit: added serious

Lol looking back my most recent relationship, this is 100% true. Often times I wanted to address something that was bothering me (Financial, personal between us or a friend, something at work, stress of school, ect. ) and most times she would get pissy and say things like “why do we have to talk about that right now?” Which means —> “I really don’t care about your stress or the issues going on around you, make my life better now or leave me alone.”

Not trying to bail her out here. Given she has a graduate degree I highly doubt she is making minimum wage.

That one was an eye brow raiser for me also. Makes me wonder how many people truly believe dating a single mother is not taboo. I know of one person under the age of 30 who is currently dating a single mother. He also has a kid from a previous relationship..so it’s a bit different. Edit: missed a few words

I don’t disagree, the cost of an unwanted child is severely undervalued. And it’s sad to see so many bright futures tainted by the responsibility that is raising an unexpected child.
