You said prayers… if you are of faith or dont mind faith based programs try www.divorcecare.org I went last fall and it helped a lot. The leaders of the class were an absolute blessing. Hearing others share did so much to help me forgive and by forgiving start down the road of healing

In my case, there was more to it, but I never thought throwing it away was in the cards. I had to recognize a real need to change myself over the last 15 years, but that process was slow and I’m not too bright. I think too much bitterness had already set in. And Covid sealed our fate.

All of this is so similar. 30 years of marriage gone in what seemed to be an instance. Today, divorced since Feb 23, I think she was struggling for 10-15 years to stay with it. Being a stay at home mom most of that time, she was afraid financially to make the break. She waited for our youngest to finish high school, then moved out - 17 days after graduation - said no to counseling b/c all of her friends thought our marriage was not worth saving.
