I feel like I'm losing brain cells trying to communicate these very simple principles to you. You'll be stuck as a pickme because you're incapable of self-reflection and think you can't be criticized. You'll never grow with that mindset.

I am and have dated a man like that. Good luck with the pickme life, there's no helping you

Girl, I'm not confused. So much emotion for a man that isn't real, that you're hating on because of perceived femininity. Hatred of femininity-->misogyny. I don't know how I can make this simpler for you.

Girl combatting your internalized misogyny is literally the core of the handbook. 😂 If you can't do that, or think no one here can criticize you, then you're not going to level up. You have a lot of room to do better--we're trying to help you.

Homophobia is LV Eta: I keep thinking about these comments bc not only are they homophobic, they're deeply misogynistic. So critical of an imagined man for what? Acting effeminate? It just reveals that OP is dealing with some deep internalized misogyny, which is LV af, and harmful to yourself and others. Do better, sis.

Men with beards like this have a 100% chance of speaking condescendingly on a topic you know more about

Should I tell my bestie that her ex liked me on tinder? I obviously didn't match with him. She's said before that she was thinking of reaching out to him for a quarantine hookup, so I feel like telling her would be a good thing? I wouldn't want to hook up with my ex if I knew he was trying to get with my friends. I also don't want to unnecessarily hurt my friend. Help sisters!!

You're spot on! He completely stopped following those rules the moment we broke up. I can't upvote your comment enough because this strategy of testing their reactions is exactly how I figured out what was going on. I hope everyone reads this and commits it to memory.

I don't mind questions! I think I should also clarify my wording from my previous comment: I'm not constantly going on dates, rather all the dates I do have are with very attractive people. I've had multiple long-term relationships from tinder, most of them with really attractive people. I also have some rules about what deserves an immediate left swipe: no bio, "ethical non-monogamy", demands about what type of woman they're looking for, boring copy/paste bios, and bios that say things like, "i…

It can be hard to avoid the scarcity mindset, but it's helpful to remind yourself where it comes from. Society constantly tells us that we need a man, so we often trick ourselves into settling when pickings seem slim. I've been having a great time with OLD recently because I stopped caring about matching with or talking to people. Do I miss the validation? Sure, I guess. But it's better for your tinder/hinge/whatever to be dry than full of matches you're only tepidly interested in. Another thing…

Just say you made other plans. No need to explain yourself or sugar coat it for him. If he's really HV, he'll understand that's a natural response to his failure to plan. But if he's already showing this LV trait of wasting your time, it's probably better to just move on without explanation.

It should also be noted that this behavior isn't a guarantee he's a HVM. My literal sociopath ex also never ooked at another woman when we were together, but he was also cheating the whole time and posting photos of me and his exes (that he took, without our knowledge or consent) to a fetish site.

Srs things like this help LVM/NVM become better at hiding their red flags, which will give them more access to vulnerable people. Don't tell men to remove their desperation, woman-hating, and scrote-ness from their bios. Let them tell on themselves so we can weed them out more easily.

It's from the TV show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The DENNIS system is a tool used to get with and use women, then drop them. Demonstrate value. Engage physically. Nurture dependence Neglect emotionally Inspire hope. Separate entirely. clip from the episode

This all sounds nice, but don't rush into anything. It takes more than 3 dates to evaluate if someone is HV, so it's not in your best interest to commit to exclusivity right away like he's suggesting. The necklace gift and the very early push for exclusivity are alarming to me. It looks like love bombing from where I'm standing. Be careful, keep your options open, and take things slow!

Bringing up exclusivity so early and the necklace gift seemed like flags to me. It seems a bit like love bombing, or like the first part of the DENNIS system to me. I agree with you the OP should keep her options open.

This. It's just projection. Men love saying all women are the same, or basic, but the reality is that men are a monolith. Literally 75% of men's hinge profiles look exactly like this. Thank god I'm bi so I actually get to meet interesting people (women) on OLD apps

Definitely report her profile! How creepy. FYI for OP and any other bi women: couple's accounts are against the TOS for pretty much all OLD apps, so report those too!

Dumped my LVM ex for this (among other reasons) 2 months ago. He would constantly leer at girls who were obviously underage and it made my skin crawl. ETA: And this scrote was 26!

Yes! I immediately thought it was fake for the same reasons. Imagine thinking misandry is real...
