Its what you have to do to join a frat. You and the rest of your pledge class endure a semester of fraternal boot camp essentially. Always on call, cleaning houses every night, working out in a musty basement till someone throws up, being the ‘bartenders’ of the parties. There was a lot of hilarious shit we had to do too Im just listing all the stuff that made it blow.

What works for me is adding another element to my life. Could be a hobby/goal/person. More specifically, step out of your comfort zone. When you do, you’ll feel that fire start burning inside of you again.

Not one to give advice buuuutt. I graduated engineering if it matters. These plateaus you are feeling are 100% normal. Everyone gets them. If you stick with engineering you are going to get plenty more of them. Whats not normal is letting it affect you to the point where you lose grasp on important things in your life. Those “stagnation” thoughts are literal poison and you will drown in it if you let it. Accept that you are going to have these stages of the year and continue forward.

Was in a frat the entire time as an engineering major. Plenty of kids in my house who were all stem majors. As long as you have self control and not be a fucking idiot you can do both if your major isnt too work intensive. Idk where you are going, but doing a sport over fraternity was only worth it if you were on a D1/D2 team like baseball or lacrosse. You get best of both worlds there in terms of partying and keeping yourself active. I Dont think the powerlifting team will satisfy your partying…
