One other thing, I've read more than a few articles (example) suggesting that the Y chromosome is one of the primary sources of human evolution, and that it changes much more rapidly than the rest of the human genome. The takeaway would be that the end result of measures like those suggested would be the stagnation of human evolution.

If I understand your post in the other thread correctly, you're about to become a dad. So, I have a thought for you: talk to them before shit gets crazy. When you get to the hospital, or wherever this spectacle is going down, talk to the midwives or whomever is sort-of in charge. Do it while you're wife is still doing the breathing exercises (but before she's squeezing your hand so hard that she's breaking your metacarpals).
