ChatGPT's sexism against menChatGPT isn't trying to be accurate, it's trying to be articulate. The responses you get are its best effort at taking data included in its training, creating language around it, and presenting it to you as a response. It also includes a bit of random, which is why you won't get the exact same answer to a question if you ask it a second time. The message wasn't the point, the delivery of the message is. Now imagine you train your AI model on Reddit, you won't be surprised that the data it gather… | /r/MensRights | 16/03/23 07:47 PM

how to get men to support men, how we already do itI've thrown around the idea of a sort of "peer to peer" men's support group. Doesn't need to be too formal, but really just a chance for guys to make friends in a peer atmosphere. Simple things like meeting to hang out at a coffee shop for a while, try some fishing, or go check out a game somewhere. Heck the idea of just working on building shit with new friends sounds great. There's certainly no end of these sorts of groups for women, but the closest I can come up with for men are like... VFW a… | /r/MensRights | 02/09/22 12:34 PM

“Make women feel safe”When he says "responds the feminists", you seem to be taking it as referring the group of feminists you like. If someone said "The Army doesn't like pizza", would you think that the soldiers in the field don't like it or that the organization and leadership have decided this? Feminism (let's say capital F Feminism) agrees with him, and little f feminism holds no power and carries no weight. | 3 | “Make women feel safe”The specific point I'm addressing here is: no real feminist feels these sentiments described above This implies a few things: You adequately speak for "real feminists" as a group "Real feminists" in a meaningful way disagree with the claim My disagreement is boiled down to: "Real feminists" as you use it doesn't describe the people who hold power or control the movement, even if it does describe a large group or even an overwhelming majority Feminists in positions of power have repeatedly, in do… | /r/MensRights | 14/10/21 03:56 PM

“Make women feel safe”Great. Another person claiming to have moderate opinions removes themself from the discussion. That's a great example of how the ones with stronger convictions (typically more radical) define the movement. Short sighted isn't an attack, we all have our blind spots and ignoring them is unhealthy. Also ultimately your choice, but if you're withdrawing then please consider you've chosen to become another example that proves Karen's point. I'm sure you mean well. | /r/MensRights | 14/10/21 02:21 PM
“Make women feel safe”The point is the people with reasonable opinions that don't participate in policy and public discourse don't matter and the ones who do are the ones you say aren't real. It's literally a list of examples of people who did matter. You should try reading that "angry rant" instead of dismissing it as such just because it doesn't agree with you. It was a response to some other short sighted person like yourself denying exactly the same things you're denying | /r/MensRights | 14/10/21 01:59 PM
“Make women feel safe”Right, because you're the one who determines who a real feminist is. https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/695m34/karen_straughans_response_to_those_arent_real/ | /r/MensRights | 14/10/21 01:40 PM
Why do feminists get annoyed when male victims are brought up?The root of the issue isn't that men say "what about male victims", it's that activists say "raped women" instead of "rape victims", needlessly (maybe maliciously) gendering it when it isn't a gendered problem... And it's become socially acceptable or even socially encouraged to do so. How many times have you seen programs that help [need] women and children instead of helping [need] people? Hungry, homeless, unemployed, disabled, depressed, whatever... Gendering these things is a play for power… | /r/MensRights | 11/10/21 02:23 PM

MoS you just kind of infer that he must have been taught good morals or maybe his alien blood was pre-programmed or scientologists zapped his thetans so he was the least stressed guy ever, so he's a good guy and not a bad guy. But many gay men celebrate or practice femininity, simply replacing those female roles with feminine men. I think it can be a complex discussion, but "you can't be mgtow because you're gay" seems like nonsense. | 3 | Not even once does it call this rapist what she really is.It only counts if you're the one being penetrated, I'm afraid. Not that I agree with the laws, mind you. This is why men are so poorly represented in rape statistics, most things that you would reasonable call rape are legally filed as sexual assault or other related-yet-different charges. | /r/MensRights | 14/07/14 09:01 PM |
Man spends 10 years in prison because his daughter was disappointed in him and accused him of rape. The daughter and the prosecutor responsible are left unpunished.Indeed it is old news, and there don't seem to be any follow-ups to it outside of being used as a comparison to other similar cases of false rape accusations. | /r/MensRights | 14/07/14 06:49 PM
Man spends 10 years in prison because his daughter was disappointed in him and accused him of rape. The daughter and the prosecutor responsible are left unpunished. The prosecutor's choice to not follow through are not based on the age of the criminal. Their public statement made this rather clear. | /r/MensRights | 14/07/14 06:43 PM
Man spends 10 years in prison because his daughter was disappointed in him and accused him of rape. The daughter and the prosecutor responsible are left unpunished. It's clear cut because the facts of the case are already legally established. | /r/MensRights | 14/07/14 06:41 PM

Man spends 10 years in prison because his daughter was disappointed in him and accused him of rape. The daughter and the prosecutor responsible are left unpunished.Sounds like Mr Kennedy needs to get his own lawyer. The state and prosecution should be on trial for wrongful imprisonment as well as for failing to prosecute such a clear cut case of false testimony, false allegations, and character defamation. | /r/MensRights | 14/07/14 04:51 PM

Why Silicon Valley Needs The Coder Grrrls Of Double Union, The Feminist Hacker Space (WTF)What differentiates DU from the dozen or so other Bay Area hacker spaces is that it exists specifically and exclusively for people who identify as both women and feminists. Oh, so it's just another exclusionary group, like the KKK. Got it. | /r/MensRights | 14/07/14 03:23 PM

The 1989 book "Heather Has Two Mommies" was pretty well accepted, I don't recall there being any particular lesbian backlash against it. Is there some language difference I'm missing that would make Dad more exclusionary than Mom? | /r/MensRights | 13/07/14 03:16 PM |

7 year old boy will be forced to register as sex offender for playing doctor at age sixIf we accept the legal definition of 18 year olds being adults, I don't agree with there being laws written preventing those legal adults from having sex with other legal adults, regardless of the gap in age. It may be creepy, and the half-plus-seven rule is pretty accurate for estimating society's limits on where creepy starts, but that's no reason to legislate it. Under 18, it's a goddamn mess and could use a rewrite, but leave adults out of it. | /r/MensRights | 12/07/14 11:15 AM
The one where I need help understanding why MRAs don’t become feministsWhat a silly article. Let's just redefine everything, claim that deconstructing gender roles is the cure for everything, an then dismiss MRAs because of some random guy's comment questioning rape statistics. | /r/MensRights | 03/07/14 10:27 PM

Do you really need $120k/year to raise a child?Maybe someone should ask Russel Simmons why he agreed to pay the amount, instead of us armchairing it with an incomplete story. Frankly it's getting old being the poster boy for unreasonable child support for trying to clarify reasons why an award might be high. | /r/MensRights | 17/06/14 02:30 PM |

| -13 | Russell Simmons as well as other rap moguls can expect to pay ~$10,000/month for child support. Do you really need $120k/year to raise a child?Look, don't make this into something it's not. Child support rulings generally consider the amount that it takes not just to sustain the child with Aldi's mac&cheese, but to maintain the level of lifestyle they would have had with the father still in place. As a wealthy couple, it is reasonable to think the kids would have gone to expensive schools, worn expensive clothes, and had an overall pretty expensive lifestyle. So, no, you don't "need" $120k/year to raise a child, because obviously it ca… | /r/MensRights | 16/06/14 03:10 PM |

I am a married woman who had a discussion about an aspect of feminism relating to productivity and mentruation. ALL, and I mean EVERY ONE of the feminism/woman community subs REFUSE to let my question be posted. So I'm posting it here. It's a complicated issue and it's worth talking about, but i don't think there is a clear answer. I would lean towards pay being based on performance, but not every job has that easy performance metric. If you're carrying logs from point A to point B, that's pretty easy to measure, but that's not most jobs. It might be overall more fair (to employees and employers alike) to disregard it in most cases. The cost of measuring it may be greater than the differential in pay anyway. | /r/MensRights | 13/06/14 04:33 PM
I keep seeing the word "feminist" when describing extremist feminists. Can we back of the feminists, they're ok, they want the same as us (IMHO). Get on to the feminazis please.Once they start self-classifying, sure. At the moment, they all identify as feminists. I think most of us would agree that we're all for women seeking equality, just as much as we would like equality ourselves. It's unfortunate that certain parts of both sides prevent us from seeking them together. | /r/MensRights | 13/06/14 03:40 PM
