The problem with the whole argument of women reacting positively being bad isn't really good though. The reason being that if they react positively and like the attention then it is not harassment and if they react negatively and do not like the attention then it is not harassment. Legally this does not make sense. First of all "responding to prostitutes" is not illegal. Engaging is buying/selling sex for money is. You get arrested because the police officer playing the prostitute would be able to show undeniable intent to go through with it. Catcalling women would most likely be under harassment, which is a 1 way crime. So responding to harassment would not be harassment back. I hate to say this but being honest and pleading guilty is not the honorable thing to do, it's the stupid thing to do. Prosecutors care about conviction rates and appearing hard on crime. I understand he may not have wanted to fight but he should have if he didn't want a strict sentencing. NOTE: not saying anything about this specific crime and just about our legal system in general.

But if a girl/guy yells that (s)he is getting fondled the first thing you do is separate and put yourself between them. The guy was going under the impression that it wasnt a dumb girl lying. You actually have to have tangible evidense of loss due to slander in order to sue. Here it was stopped immediately and no long term or short term damage came of it. We should all be happy that everyone responded appropriately. Her friend spoke up and the girl got kicked out. Id say this was a great outcome given a young girls idiotic actions.

In slander cases you must ahow that there was sufficient damage done. In this case there was immediate realization that it was false and nothing bad ultimately came. I do not think there would be any grounds. On top of that, while i agree that this was awful, she needs to go to some sort of educaional class and i doubt a judge wouldhave one lined up.

In the case you stated I think we can all say that neither one should be held legally responsible because there is no way a 4 year old and a 3 year old knew what they were doing other than "this feels good". Its different from the above case because the 18 year old should fucking obviously know not to do this to a boy half her age.

Confirmation bias. Here in mens rights we see people acting stupid and there fore sometimes equate all with that stupidity.
