"I'm independent! I can do it on my own, but could you do it for me?"

Society feels like an ex-girlfriend who comes by your house - every day. Smearing her face against your windows, she asks if you're "still single?" and could she "borrow like $20?"

In defense of the often inflammatory nature of the sub, a lot of the men who end up going their own way appear to be "burn victims" of the highest order. Trauma encourages change, and we've all been forced to change how we conduct ourselves, for our own preservation. Complete and lasting change doesn't happen overnight. Imagine your own "redpill rage" period, being replicated, and staggered - timewise - across multiple individuals. Now, give them all an outlet. You might not have had a group to …

I'd say that a lot of MGTOW gravitate towards nihilism, but I also think the label of "nihilist" is being thrown about like a slur, lately.

Divorce is on the drop, in part because marriage is also on the decline. He has plenty of time to learn. He's young.

The concept of "awalt," has thoroughly coloured my perspective on life, but it is not the only one to have done so. I enjoyed reading and writing fiction. Now, I don't, and it was something I thought I could take with me when I left the gynocentric mess behind. I've lost a big piece of myself in this revelation, and I'm having a hard time coping. I wish this had happened earlier, and not five years out.

Digging a hole in the ocean. The more we try to do, the more there is to do. There's almost no foreseeable end to what we could learn. The most sense I've been able to make of it, is chase what keeps you interested.

I'd say "jaded" and "burnout" are pretty accurate, though how much of either? I couldn't say. Always in flux. I'm no expert, but I've heard we have certain mechanisms which "level out" how we're feeling -- kind of like an auto correct, for your brain chemistry. Our moods stabilize, to an extent, no matter what the duress. However, there's a element of the self - perhaps it's the memories of our unhappy experiences - that has the staying power to dictate whether/where our moods pitch. Couple that…

I think we tend to take things too far, because we've never been told where to stop. Or, yet -- if it's even okay to stop... Go, go, go -- till you burn out ...

I will take a look at Mr. Allen's material. Thankfully, I am not familiar with him, and so can go into this fresh. I appreciate the recommendations. Thank you, very much.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
