If you can't talk, dance. After a bit, ask her if she wants to get some air/go outside for a break.

Yeah, but everyone wants to kiss when they're on E.

Maybe it's just how you described it, but that sounds incredibly dumb. And I love to curse like a fucking sailor.

Did he take his dick out and start beating off furiously? No well odds are you should just ASK HIM.

Getting a roommate is also a good way to cut costs. Since I've been out of college I've done it several times when I wanted to save up some money.

Valley, eagle rock, east la, south of the 10. If you can pay $700 you can find more options. Point is, housing can be found.

Really? I don't believe you! I don't even think you live there. 1br FULLY FURNISHED?! Fuck off, you can't even get a deal like that in LA!

My point was that LA is an expensive place to live. I have friends who make a low salary and live in a tiny place. They make it work. They save, they do what they can to produce income.

You could find a studio for $500 even in the LA area. I pay $1000 for a nice 1br. Try again.

It takes effort.

This was 2000. Part time job as a server at a restaurant : $4/hr base pay working ~24hrs week + shitty tips = $750-900/month Rent was $400 Utilities were ~$100 Food: I got free food from food banks plus food at work. Prob spent $40 a month on basic groceries Entertainment: Whatever was leftover which was usually any tips i had earned that day I learned to live lean so I could have money to do fun things.

It's brave? It's not hard, I went to college at 18, got my own place with a part time job. School was paid by loans/grants so all I had to worry about was enough money for rent, ramen and hanging out with friends. And I lived in the downtown area of a major metropolis. Even if your place is tiny, it's so much easier to have people over. Totally worth the effort of GETTING A JOB.

Come on now. Time to move out. Step 1) Get a job! Step 2) Get a small studio apt Step 3) Sexy time. Edit: You know for a subreddit that's supposed about learning to be confident, some of you have quite the defeatist attitude. Buck up, the only person stopping you from getting what you want is YOURSELF.

i don't even know the other person. usually non-response is an indication of no further interest. most intelligent people will interpret it as such. it's self explanatory It's amazing how you guys get hung up on this point. You get locked into trying to break everyone down and frustrated. The simple answer is she's not interested in you once the moment is gone.

Define dumb, women are smart social creatures. Science will back me up as they are more advanced at picking up emotional cues and body language. I would guarantee that the minute you start talking to one they have fully dressed you down and have read your intents like a tele-prompt. This a sweeping generalization, there are plenty of outliers and there are truly dumb people. But don't underestimate the other half. Come with respect, you will be respected.

You understood with my statement but KNOW I'm wrong? Were you with OP at the time? We have no frame of reference of her body language. All we have is HIS interpretation of the moment.

I re-subscribed because I like some of the social psychology people discuss. The misogynic bullshit really turns me off... "hurr hurr women are dumb, it's up to guys to show em what they want."
/r/seduction28/08/12 02:50 AM

Exactly, they like to socialize. You could be the king of seduction and she's still not going to suck your dick, let alone give out her number.

Dude, you're really over thinking this. Women are rarely direct and blunt like guys are. They are more likely to give you soft answer. Now I understand that there are women who like to play games and give you shit tests, but in the end do you really want to put up with girls who pull crap like that? Where you are constantly trying to decipher if her words had a hidden agenda? Christ that is tiring just thinking about.

Is this a real answer? Now I remember why I unsubscribed to this subreddit. If she says she has boyfriend it's two things: A) She does! B) She doesn't but doesn't want you calling her and is trying to be nice about it. Most girls are polite and try to be subtle about letting you off. I see you guys trying to be persistent when it's obvious it's not working, but girls don't want to come off as a bitch and will just continue talking to you because they enjoy socializing. Just because they're enjoy…

Winter/cold weather tip. Have a clean cozy blanket at the ready, sometimes you end up outside sitting on the balcony/porch. I have a big furry blanket that is great for getting cozy underneath while having a smoke.

Buy wipes that state they are flushable. If you live in a city with old pipes it could make an embarrassing situation if someone were to flush them after a #2 and it backs up the plumbing.

The only downside is the lack of "bounce". It's like fucking on the floor, but doesn't hurt.

A single Phd student with 2 kids? That should be your first clue man. She's super busy and doesn't want some guy to distract her from her plans. So, be a relief for her, maybe you just have drinks and make out once in a while. or fuckbuddies. or something.

Heh, i thought OP's post was a joke until it wasn't. OP, ya needs to learn social cue's when people are not interested but don't want to be rude. If you're peppering her with questions but not engaging her in a real conversation you'll come off as annoying.

Openers are bullshit in my opinion, walk up, stand up straight, look them in the eyes, and say "Hi" with a smirk on your face. Exactly! I don't ever use openers or other bullshit. I understand for some who are terrible at conversing with other humans this might be necessary. But really people don't need to be tricked into talking to you.

I'll be the dick here and say, why are getting one-itis over a flaky girl? Clearly she's just using you for mental stimulation, but has no real intention of making you a regular thing because you're her best friend's ex. You have a stigma.

That's because most of the advice on here is not going to work for most women. Every woman is different. Therefore you have to approach them as such. The only real keys are confidence in ones self. All people like this in others. Confident people are easy to talk to, easy to relax around, and more relatable.

I don't see how this is informative. Anyone that's been to a frat party/slut fest knows how ridiculously easy it is to dance/talk to a girl. Any girl. They're all all wasted and horny. I mean kudos if it got your confidence up, but I doubt any of the "dance tips" are going to fly in the non-college world.

Sleeping with your roommate is probably is setting up for a huge life fail. The only way this will only work is if you both find an attraction for each other and decide to keep it purely physical and to keep emotions out of it. More like live-in fuck buddies. It's best to think of her like your sister for a while. See what the attraction level is between you. In the end you don't want shit to blow up and then be forced to move out. So take it slow and don't be creepy.

I think you have to remember where you were. You were at a music venue/club. Girls who go to these are used to getting hit on ALL NIGHT. So they have their defense up. Learn to read the body language to tell if they have any interest in you at all. You most likely missed that on most of them

Is it just me or do all of those seem extremely corny? Or maybe i've just heard guys say the exact same things before. Personally I much prefer to talk about subjects that are not related to the other person (their likes and dislikes, BORING!). I feel I can suss out a persons personality by talking about current events, things going on in the world, or something related to why were at the same location at that moment. This create more authentic conversation and more likely to engage the other pe…

Heh The Abbey, i've been there a few times with female friend. It's true on a weekend night that girl packs show up to avoid the Hollywood man hunters. Fun place and good food regardless. Not bad for people watching either
