Most issues in marriages are communication issues. Counseling can be an enormous help here, but it's absolutely vital the counselor is neutral. My partner and I jointly decided to go to counseling then interviewed 3 or 4 before we decided on one. We ultimately separated but the work we did in therapy allows us to be close friends now.
