To add to that, now that insurance rates for women are going up, some states have started passing laws that prevent insurance companies from charging men and women differently. Also, the reason insurance rates are increasing isn't just distracted driving. The larger reason is that men largely have big, expensive accidents, while women have multiple small accidents. But with vehicles having so much tech in them, a simple fender bender can cost thousands of dollars. And if airbags deploy, the vehi…

Yeah, that sign isn't taking away her rights, but her taking away the sign takes away someone else's. If a sign is so powerful, she should be holding up her own, not tearing down others.

I don't really give a shit what color or gender a character is, as long as it is well written and acted. The problem is that many minority and female characters today are written poorly, with no struggles, no weaknesses, no emotion. As if showing a PoC or woman struggling with anything would be bigoted.

If it is okay to violate 9 people's rights to catch a criminal, why isn't it ok for a rapist to violate 1 person's rights? Or for any criminal that commits a crime?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/19 01:47 PM

The law shouldn't treat your rights differently depending on how immoral the crime is. If there are 10 guys working there, you know that at least 90% are having their rights violated because of the actions of someone else.

if you have reason to believe that they dont, because nothing bad will come of it Except there's no reason to believe the woman in this screenshot doesn't. And yes, the IRS can fuck your life over even if you've done nothing wrong.

You're just making promoting a climate in which baseless accusations are acceptable because "they'll investigate". As if the IRS doesn't fuck people over even when they've done nothing wrong.

Look at what happened to Jian Gomeshi (Canadian radio host). Got a bunch of accusations, went to court, and his lawyer decimated every accuser, and showed that they had colluded with each other on what to say. Now the Canadian government wants to (or did?) change the law so that the defense can't blindside accusers like they did in that trial.

A few days before this video, a girl in Sweden did the same (including livestreaming it). They gave in to her demands, returning the plane to the gate and letting her and the person getting deported get off. Turns out the guy who was being deported was denied asylum in other countries before going to Sweden, and is also a violent criminal who was sentenced by Swedish courts prior to him being denied asylum.

Well, she won multiple AVN awards. She was the youngest winner of AVN's "Female Performer of the Year". CNBC named her one of the top porn stars in 2011, even though she was retired by then (she only did porn for about 3-4 years). She's been in multiple (admittedly low-budget) movies. I never argued that it goes to the employees. I know it goes to shareholders. Those shareholders don't just take that money and put it under their mattress. I'm not arguing that trickle down works. But that doesn't mean that jobs aren't going to be created, that the economy isn't going to grow, etc. Those things will happen, whether the money is directly invested or sits in a bank.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/06/18 10:03 PM
2

I'm not arguing for trickle down, are you ignorant? And don't forget that companies buying back stock doesn't suddenly make that money disappear out of the economy. It just moves money into different hands.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/06/18 01:47 PM

Obama said this would never happen in the US again. He said 2% GDP growth was the new normal, and 3% would never be seen again. So how does Obama's policies of 2% GDP growth suddenly get towards 4%?
/r/PussyPassDenied05/06/18 09:10 AM

Look at NAFTA, which protects a lot of Canadian and Mexican industries by having high tariffs on US goods. For instance, dairy and sugar have high tariffs if imported into Canada. That is to protect Canadian dairy farmers and our sugar producers.

We have yet to see the results of the "Corporate" tax cuts. Except the trillions repatriated and the huge investment announcements made following that, huge tax revenues from that, etc. After awhile, the unemployed aren't counted when they just stop looking for work. And you can look up these stats and see those people are getting jobs, too.
/r/PussyPassDenied05/06/18 09:06 AM
21

Remember that Obama said 2% GDP growth was the new normal, and the US would never see 3%+ GDP growth ever again. Everybody said if Trump were elected, the economy would shrink, the stock market would collapse, etc. Not in a few years, they said it would happen immediately.

That seems like a lot to me, but I've seen so many women get less than 4 years for killing children (in Canada) so what do I know.
/r/PussyPassDenied04/05/18 11:35 AM

20 years isn't enough. A day home provider in Canada put a baby in a car seat, shoved him (I think it was a boy) in the closet, left to go shopping, and 5 hours later found the kid dead. He'd choked on the safety strap on the car seat. She was sentenced yesterday and received... 3 1/2 years. That is pretty standard for women who kill children in Canada, though.

Even if she gets parole, she is still under the justice departments thumb for the rest of her life. See a parole officer weekly, random drug tests, have to meet all the criteria to stay on parole, like being employed. She may get out, but she may also end up back in prison many times throughout her life, lose all her possessions and have to start from scratch when she gets paroled again.

Even if she gets parole in 10 years, she'll be on parole for the rest of her life. If she so much as gets drunk in public they can throw her back in for as long as they like. Hell, parole officers usually have unfettered power to revoke parole, for things like 'deteriorating behaviour'. Basically, if you're fine one day, and the next you're in a shit mood, your parole officer can toss you back in prison.

They should have given her a refund that night. Imagine you go to a theater with your kids, spend $50+ (a lot for many single moms) on food and tickets, the movie is cancelled, and you don't get a refund that night. I bet they wouldn't refund the food, so she's out that, gas, time, and she's got two kids who are going to be sad about not seeing the movie. What part of that situation means that she can't leave a negative review? Does a company immediately absolve themselves from getting negative …

Let's assume what the company said is correct. What about the situation makes her a bad person? What part of her actions show she was trying to use her pussy pass?
/r/PussyPassDenied27/02/18 12:30 AM
-1

Nothing shows she was being a royal asshole. If she had done anything unreasonable, the theater would have said, considering they were willing to run her down personally. But they didn't. Nothing they say about her shows her being at all unreasonable. Put yourself in the same situation. You go to a movie, pay, the movie doesn't work, they tell you they'll mail you a refund, and you never get it. Is it that unreasonable to post a negative review about that?
/r/PussyPassDenied26/02/18 11:57 PM

How so? All we know is that the hypothetical cheque wasn't cashed, if it was received at all. And, allegedly, they offered to repay her the cash in person (likely to avoid her exploiting the "I never got it" card, if we're to believe she's the type of person they're making her out to be). There is absolutely no proof that she received it in the mail. They imply that she's lying, but they can't prove it. And how could she exploit it? If they sent a check, they can cancel it. She wouldn't be able …
/r/PussyPassDenied26/02/18 11:39 PM

How did I pull that out of my ass? Look at what they wrote, nothing shows that she did anything wrong. She didn't make it so the movie couldn't play, she didn't decide to not issue a refund that night, she didn't decide to send an untraceable refund in the mail. All those issues are on the company, and they tear her apart for their failures. She had every right to be dissatisfied with this company and leave a negative review. The company was wrong to attack her like that. But this sub just likes…

Not really, it is just a personal attack on someone for negatively rating a business. And it looks like the business is the one at fault, anyways.
/r/PussyPassDenied26/02/18 10:21 PM
1

It isn't even /r/quityourbullshit material. All the woman says is that the business sucks. The business is the only one making any claims. And if you take time to think about what they are saying, it is more obvious that the theater is the one making up bullshit and trying to smear this woman.
/r/PussyPassDenied26/02/18 10:20 PM

So women aren't allowed to leave negative reviews? Women aren't allowed to say a business sucks (which the business clearly does)?
/r/PussyPassDenied26/02/18 10:18 PM

How was she trying to fuck the theater? By giving a negative review? She didn't get a refund. Even if you think that she did get the refund in the mail (why couldn't they have refunded the same night?), what did her claiming she didn't get it achieve? She didn't go pick up the refund at the theater, probably because she didn't want to waste her time, or has other things to do. I think the theater didn't send her a refund, personally. You wouldn't send cash in the mail, unless you were an idiot. …

Teach the mom what lesson? Not to negatively rate a business? We don't know that she's in the wrong. First, the drive in didn't show the movie. They blame it on Disney, which it may or may not have been. But the woman didn't run and immediately leave a negative review, she waited. Why did she wait? For her money back. Isn't that weird? Why wouldn't the drive in have refunded anybody who paid with cash that night, and reversed all the credit/debit transactions? Instead, they decided to take down …

I don't see why this customer is "wrong" though. Are they not allowed to rate a business low? She went to a drive-in, the movie didn't work. Whether it is the businesses fault or not, that still sucks. They charged her money, and instead of refunding her cash that night, or reversing any debit/credit transaction, they decide to mail her the money. And either the people running the business are retarded and sent her cash in the mail, or they sent her a check and know for a fact that she didn't ca…

Look at Figure 6 in your link. Blacks had the highest rates of Chlamydia, about 1,200 per 100,000. American Indians were next highest, with a little over 600 per 100,000. Just because you're not a fan of PDAs doesn't really mean much. It's once people start imposing their personal feelings on others that it becomes a problem. And it doesn't sound like you're doing that. I'm personally not a fan of PDA, but I also don't like spaghetti. Doesn't give me a right to freak out if someone is eating spaghetti, or even offers me spaghetti. Hell, I might even eat spaghetti if someone offers, just to be kind. I felt bad for her by the end. Just imagine how sad your life has to be that seeing two people kiss brings out that kind of emotion. I think she's gone through life without experiencing love (probably her own fault). She sees her friends and coworkers in relationships, moving forward in their lives, happy. And she seethes because she doesn't have that. (She's probably the type that tries to break up relationships). It looks like this place serves some healthy shit (?). I imagine she's trying to …

It's probably gut flora or w/e. You get that shit kinda passed down from your birth mother. They did a study with rats, where they gave the shit of twins to a pair of mice (they did this with multiple sets of twins and mice). One twin was fat, one normal. The mice were fed the same diet (other than the twin shit). The mouse that ate the skinny twin's poop stayed at a healthy weight. The mouse that ate the fat twin's poop got fat. If you start punching me and I put you in a headlock to stop you, and you begin kicking me, you are continuing an assault. I don't know about the US, but in Canada, extortion/blackmail is a serious crime and I believe has no limit on sentencing (you can get up to life). I wouldn't suggest boycotting or harassing his employer, that would just give them the impression that this sub is filled with shitty people. Showing support would be good. I just don't agree. This isn't contract law, this isn't like buying a TV. This is raising a kid. If you take that responsibility, whether you've been lied to or not, at some point you shouldn't just be able to back out of it. I'm sorry, it sucks for the "Dad". But you have few choices. I don't think a kid deserves to lose their father and their lifestyle. I'm not on the woman's side, I'm on the kids side.

It's not a double standard. It's just that the standard can't traditionally extend to women the same way it can men. It's because we're not equal, biologically. Imagine a woman had invitro insemination, but a mixup causes someone else's eggs to be used (but her husbands sperm). Now, years later, she divorces her, and later finds out the daughter isn't hers (biologically). Should she be responsible for paying child support, or should the biological mom? Even though this woman accepted the role of…

Sorry, but if you take on the role of a father, then you're accepting to be responsible for that child. Just because you may have been conned into thinking the child is yours doesn't change the fact that you accepted parental rights. It sucks. The laws fucked up in many ways for men. But the law should focus on the child's rights. A child shouldn't suffer because her moms a bitch and her non-biological Dad abandons her. The guy should have protected himself with a DNA test. It's one of the few t…

Because the child support is supposed to support the child. If you take on the role of the father, you're accepting that responsibility. If you want to dispute that role, the time is at birth, not years later.

This isn't about the woman. This is about the child. Yes, she's an evil cow bitch. But there has to be a definitive line drawn in the sand on when a man has the right to contest his parental rights/obligations. And apparently in this case/state, that was 2 years, and he passed it. I also agree that DNA tests should be mandatory. Any potential father should protect himself. This guy acted too late. He should still have rights. He's likely on the birth certificate, which is all that matters. And I'm pretty sure you can't deny visitation to someone who pays child support (without good reason). And I used the example of a 16 year old because we have an example of a young kid with this post. My point was that, at what point do we say that someone who takes the role of the father is not liable for that child. The guy accepted the kid as his own, only until the relationship fell apart. The law says he had two years to check if the child was his, and he never did. There had to be a limit, and two years is reasonable. Or else you'd end up with people finding out their 16 year old kid isn't there's, and then you'd have guys finding out, 16 years later, that they have to pay child support for a kid they didn't even know existed? Remember, this is about the welfare of the child. That guy established himsel…

You're mostly right.. It really depends on the type of lie, and how it affects an investigation. But what she did was obstruction of justice. That's not the point. You're changing the topic from police killings to the judiciary. Moving the goal posts. Your original argument, that blacks are being killed at a much higher rate than whites (by cops) is true, but you called it a discrepancy, which it is not. Article I got it from was from HuffPo first on a Google search I did. Also, blacks commit more crimes, per capita than whites. Out of 100,000 blacks, 33 are arrested for murder, versus 5 arrests per 100,000 white folks. And blacks commit 37% of violent crimes, while whites commit 60%. That seems to line up with the incarceration rates you cite. http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2015/apr/02/sally-kohn/sally-kohn-white-men-69-percent-arrested-violent/ So a black person is over 6 time…

According to this blacks are 27 times more likely to be violent against a white person than the other way around. (And 8 times more like to attack a Hispanic than the other way around). This would lead me to believe that more cops are at risk against a black offender, if the cop is white. Also, blacks make up 40% of inmates, while whites make up 39%. So a black person is far more likely to come into contact with a police officer than a white person. So of course they'll make up a a higher % of v…

The kid was taken as a baby. If a stranger had taken him, he wouldn't know them as anything but his parent(s). It's essentially the exact same thing. The guy is arguing that the trauma for the child going back to his father would be too much for a kid, and thus the mom should keep him. The same could be said for a kidnapped baby that was raised for 8 years by the kidnapper. It'd obviously be traumatic to the kid, but it would be the right thing to do.

Women's prisons are waaaay different than men's prisons. Apparently there is a lot more violence there (do to gossipy bitchy women on their periods), but that the level of violence is rarely as brutal as a man's prison, due to most women not being very strong. And there's very few bad crimes in women's prisons. Killing your children, or murdering your husband, isn't seen to be very horrible (but it'll depend on the individual prisoners).
