Sell some cupcakes yourself, do something to raise money and donate it to a cause you appreciate. I run a couple annual events that do just that. Recently my friends and I did a 72 hour JRPG gaming marathon stream for donations. At 11 am at the start of it I was being made to take shots because people donated, while I was playing chrono trigger.
