The US just needs to get where the other industrialized countries are. Religion is just always going to exist. Maybe the liberal Jewish community stops but orthodox may not. We need to save boys but can't be over reaching or nothing happens.

Its the first amendment Free Exercise Clause versus the 14ths due process and privacy. It's complicated in front of judges in a court of law. Sometimes stuff gets done with baby steps.

If there is going to be a ban, there needs to be steps so it goes over well. Some religious group will take it to court and win and it's back to square one. The exemption prevents the backlash. If Christians and non-religious people stop doing it, its going to pressure the rest to stop. 4% of the country is Muslim or Jewish but boys are 50-50 right now.

The Supreme court case Griswold v. Connecticut(1965) which prevented the use of contraceptives violated the right to marital privacy. It used the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to give adults the right to privacy in the bedroom. The controversial Roe v. It's only for children of Israel so it doesn't apply to me or if I have kids. We're American but that is just how it is viewed in the family. I am not of those religions to really comment on them however the Muslim interpretation for both sexes is incorrect. Circumcision is not mentioned in the Quran. Christians do the same thing with a lot of other things too.
