0	How would you explain stay-at-home dads? Ok I’ve seen a few of these. My read is that the wife is usually the insecure/type A personality. Genuinely works hard but seeks approval from others. These people look very productive and put together because they cultivate that image obsessively. But that obsession is driven by insecurity and neediness for approval from others. So they “settle” or choose a non threatening slacker man who they can easily outwork. Having an equal partner is too risky for their ego. 4	NYT - Why American Women Everywhere Are Delaying Motherhood I definitely don’t think it’s any sort of logical calculus based on cold hard, economic numbers. People still get themselves into student loan debt despite that being a bad investment for many. Why overcommit in one area but not the other? It’s aspirational.
