Several years ago there was another leader working a job with the same pay scale as mine. They gave her a raise because she found out what I made a year. I had been employed for several more years than her. She missed work constantly for family reasons. I never missed a day and had to do her job for her all the time. She quit when I was promoted and blasted the company saying they were sexist because I was promoted before her. I'm not saying this is always the case, just my experience.
