That’s a false equivalence - it’s pointless to compare those things. You have to either compare and imaginary lack of IMD to an imaginary lack of rape laws Or You compare having an IMD to having rape laws. Comparing the lack of one to the existence of the other is completely nonsensical.

Men and women who have unrealistic standards are bashed equally. Most men don’t expect a supermodel, submissive girlfriend. If they do, they’re the problem. Most women don’t expect a supermodel, strong boyfriend. If they do, they’re the problem. There’s no double standard. 99% of reasonable adults feel this way.

If the woman is “bashing you” for inquiring about her height, you probably weren’t a good match in the first place. There isn’t a double standard. I literally have never seen a woman get offended over being asked her height, unless it’s an object of insecurity. I have however, seen many many men being offended over being asked their height.

Who says men can’t? What’s stopping you? Saying no ugly people or no fat people is sort of just rude, and that’s why the woman didn’t say it that way. Do you want to come off as rude to a prospective partner? No. That’s what pictures are for. Saying you prefer redheads and the person needs to be Muslim is perfectly reasonable, and nobody is going to fault you for that.
