it's important to remember that guys are more sensitive to the appearance of arrogance in other guys. imo because we often see each other as competitors, we're more aware of and disdainful towards what seems like unwarranted confidence. i draw a comparison between this and women who are extremely critical of how other women look, even when we might think the girl looks great. in the same way, the line for arrogance may fall farther than you'd expect.
