Why aren't people choosing to get upset and fight against actual cultural issues such as poverty and exploitation by NOT buying clothes and shoes made by what amounts to slave labor? Or by avoiding buying technology that is made by people in shit living conditions? Why get all upset about someone's (accurate) joking opinion of some women? Some people have too much time to care about small fries.

Thanks for the reminder. I'm still in the bitter, hateful phase. Worthless feeling, really, but the frustration of 15 years of BP hopes and ignorance dashed upon the rocks has to go somewhere.

You seem intelligent. Look into the Navy or Air Force. If you join one of them, your chances of seeing combat (and amount of bullshit you have to deal with) drop significantly. I speak from experience. If you do join, be on your game. No drugs. No drinking and driving. No fucking around. Use it as a chance to get to a better place in life. The military will pay for your education after you serve, so don't go fucking that chance up by getting kicked out for dumb shit.

I'm upvoting with respect for the question, especially the "leaving the campsite better than you found it" part. My goal is to get my needs met and do what I want, not hurt someone in the process. I await answers.

Can you help a young buck out and explain this further?

Are you goddamn serious? This guy is obviously rich as all shit and jacked. He adds value (read: fun, money, status) and that is why women love him. "Magnetically attracts...", yes, because women are "magnetically attracted" to power, prestige, money, fun. This has nothing to do with not making women the focal point of his life.

Agreed. Doing > Caring. Like my close friend, Nike, says, "Just fucking do it."

As one who was raised to be hypersensitive, I appreciate your view on this form of male bonding. It's a perspective I've never even contemplated before. I remember certain situations where I felt butt-hurt from older men I respected giving me some shit. I always thought it was that I was a pussy and they knew as much. Well, maybe they did, but I think they probably were trying to toughen me up a little. Good post.

Gotta say I agree with you 100%. The battle is an internal one for sure. Going to the gym is the easy part. Changing the way I think about myself: that's the real issue.

I'm gonna have to be the bitchy little voice here and say: You're already 6'1". Being skinny and that height is already winning the genetic lottery (and female attention) over someone, like me, who is under 5'9" and in good shape. Tall dudes get respect because they're tall. Watch your social groups, watch in public places.

Thanks for the response. I'm talking about the fucking them then leaving them. Doesn't that add to the problem of "cock carousel" and emotional breakdowns? Even being honest with women, they think and respond differently than men. And what does "you on the other hand, I don't know" mean? I ask not defensively, I'm truly curious.

The truth is, no woman (and indeed, no person) is born a snowflake. A healthy >attitude towards sex is taught to growing youth; children inherit healthy attitudes >about sex by observing their parents, who themselves are in healthy relationships. Right now, many of us live in cultures of toxic shame and manipulation. Most >children never get to see what healthy gender-differentiated relationship looks like. Solid response. I've gone through extreme periods of growth before, I know I'm on the bri…

Yes, I've read the side bar. I "know" the Disney bs does not / will not exist. I guess I would just like to believe that a good relationship based on some sort of mutual respect is possible, without the seeming manipulation. Forgive me, I'm still recovering from a lifetime of BP.

Haha. Background: Friends for a long time. 10+ years. Little contact for lots of that due to geographic issues and different lives. Reconnected. Got along. Good vibes for a few months. Relationship talk leads to flatline. I was freeze-outing to reset the frame and to make her miss me a bit. I was too available. Trying to be a bit of a challenge. Also, the text wasn't anything special either way. Just regular bullshit like when we were talking more.
