| 7 | My problem with SedditThere is usually made a distinction between the two, where shyness is somewhat similar to social anxiety and introversion simply is the inclination to be by yourself and not seek social events as much as extroverts would. I would say that introversion/extroversion are kinds of personalities, while shyness is an mostly undesired trait that makes you nervous in (some) social settings.
