Some women, including my STBXW, just don’t understand/appreciate partnership. They expect to be treated like royalty and when you instill healthy boundaries and respectfully express your feelings about their behavior they take it as an insult as opposed to feedback to change. As my friends have told me throughout this process of absolving a 15+ yr relationship and couple kids “she’s for the streets”.

Im more than a decent guy, excellent guy. Good husband, GREAT father. She still gave me the silver bullet. Its not about you being a decent guy, its about whether or not she is a POS. I didnt think mine was a POS until she assaulted me after receiving the divorce papers and called the cops to get ME arrested for DV. Be careful out there…

Yeah my stxw (17 years together, 9 married) told me on our anniversary she was divorcing me. Then a week later she softened to im going to file for separation. I told her if I receive the separation papers I will respond with a divorce ie can we talk through your issues? She refused. Fast forward 25 days after she called the cops on me for “being mean” I received her separation papers and filed for divorce within 48 hours. Then within an hour of receiving the divorce papers she filed a false DV …

Replace your husband with my STBXH and it’s my life. In the end, shitty ppl are shitty ppl regardless of male or female. In my situation, intuition tells me she is so guilty of her behavior of stepping out that is causing the divorce (and she is also a narcissist) that she cannot fathom how to be nice to someone else bc she cannot fathom how to even be nice to herself after the mistake she made.
