Do you know of any case of a person shunning all social interaction? No. But that wasn't the point. The point is you can't fully understand how someone else experiences social interactions. One social experience could be positive for one person and negative for another, or vice versa. And while you may long to have lots of friends someone else might just want one. You can label that however you want, but people do have differences in their social desires.

Let me guess she was tricked into giving her number away to guys she clearly didn't want to speak to. Talking to a stranger over the phone is not a very comfortable situation.
