I honestly don't know. I started running and just didn't stop. Have always loved it. My dad and trainers growing up explained that the heart is also a muscle and you have to train it. Further research as I've gotten older have illuminated the difference between slow twitch and fast twitch muscle fibers: that slow twitch can go hard for a very long time and fast twitch can go super hard but only for a short time. It's common for people that run. I'm a distance runner and we usually throw in 2 core days a week. It's usually paired with HIIT (so sprints, hill rush, speed intervals, tempos...) and you want at least a day buffer between core day and your fartlek/LSD. If you're doing double long weekends (for ultra training or whatever) you can do it on monday and wednesday and still be fine even though you don't do any HIIT or run on mondays with that pattern. Have you never been in this situation? I look, I can see the ring of reflective water and sit (it's dark and I'm not fucking blind). No seat down. So I sit. Bacteria adn fungus. I live in California and their little cat paws drag fungus every where. If I let them in the sink/bathtub/toilet that fungus spreads very quickly (aspergillus). They have a fountain fed by a tap with a filter 24/7. It's okay if I don't let them on the counters/toilet.

I don't want to wake up my husband or the animals. Also I might forget to turn them back off and that's a waste (sleepiness and all). It's better if he just puts the seat back down. We also want to keep the cats out of the toilet so the lid needs to come down too.

Pooping in the dark. when you get out of bed and go to the bathroom you don't generally turn on lights. This is, in fact, how I've fallen into the toilet after my husband left the seat up (we were dating at the time). It wakes you right up.

Children are children. Regardless of gender. He used a bad allegory and I pointed it out. There are framework based beliefs and there are social mores. One can be derived and the other must be colloquialized. Educating children about stealing is one of the latter and an important part of a child's formative years.

We do have posters up to teach people not to steal, especially school-aged children, not to steal. They are everywhere. A lot of parents are shitty and it's up to society to impart education. Morally-grounded ethics generally have to be taught.
