Staying together after mediation?I’m not some big proponent for divorce, either. I personally think you should never say the word in a marriage. But if she said divorce already, it will always be held over your head. Even if she’s not actively talking about divorce, you always know she’s willing to divorce you. And it’s a wedge between the two of you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/03/24 10:50 PM

Anyone else’s ex try to “get out in front” of your divorce?Yeah, she did go to therapy before we ultimately decided on divorce and it wasn’t to change at all. She just had the therapist validate everything she had ever fault and convinced herself that she had done nothing wrong. I was like wtf is the point of therapy if all they do is say you’re right. Plus, who knows what exactly she was saying to her therapist. Probably wasn’t the whole truth and nothing but the truth. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/24 05:23 PM

Anyone else’s ex try to “get out in front” of your divorce?Yeah I see divorce as more of a personal thing and I guess she sees it more as a public thing that she needs to get her press conference in on. So the PR is positive for her end. I honestly don’t give a fuck about public opinion because I’m a bit more worried about the fact that my literal marriage just ended. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/24 06:21 AM

Staying together after mediation? Please for the love of God do not stay with a woman who genuinely tried to divorce you. You will NEVER live without the fear of divorce. My wife started saying the word divorce about 6 months into our marriage and I should have called it right there. Once the divorce word is out of the bag, you might as well just fucking do it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/24 05:54 AM
When did you know it was over?We fought for the last time. It was the first time after a fight that I literally walked out the door and drove to a friends house. Didn’t stay the night but I simply walked away from the fight. And it felt so much easier because I had. Every fight started feeling like an uphill battle that I would ultimately lose. Because even if I won, oh I’d pay for that in the long term. It became so exhausting and really thinking about never having to give a shit what she thought again was so freeing. And y… | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/24 05:39 AM
